Fetch is a leading provider of pet insurance in Canada and is a company dedicated to helping pet owners keep the costs of pet treatments under control. Fetch's standard plan covers new illnesses and accidents without restrictions for hereditary or congenital conditions. The company also provides a wide range of treatment options that would typically not be available in other companies' standard offers. Medications, diagnostic testing, non-preventative dental treatments, MRI, CAT Scan and ultrasound are all offered as standard as well. What's more, Fetch does not place any restrictions on older animals. Senior pets have access to the same coverage limits and deductibles as younger ones.

Summary

Fetch provides a good mix of coverage and benefit options that makes it a solid choice if you are looking for pet insurance in Canada. Filing a claim is easy and claims are typically reimbursed within a couple of days. The company also features a number of discount options that can help pet owners make pet insurance more affordable. AARP members, Walmart shoppers, and pet parents who adopt can save on premiums, subject to approval. Fetch pretty much covers all the standard items you'd be looking for in a pet insurance provider and more. The fact that older animals are not discriminated against is a big plus, and 24/7 support, comprehensive coverage including payment of the veterinary exam fees, and great customer service are all nothing to sneeze at as well.

Very bad. I claimed But never pay. And they closed my claim. Some people gave very high rating. But they do not deserve for that.

Horrible customer service and communication is non existent even though their website says if they need more info they will contact you. I have waited over 4 months to have my first claim paid out, stay away they are a scam. I have had my vet submit all the required paper work twice and still no answers.

Very disappointed with this company. They cancelled my plan after 10 months, no warning after my credit card did not go through just once. My only option is now to open a new policy, under a 50% higher price (of course), since their prices went up a couple months ago, which seems more like a sales tactic than anything. What a cash grab.

Waste of money! Literally use any other pet insurance especially if you have rescue dogs. They gave us the run around for months after we filed a dental claim for our rescue pup. Had been paying our policy for about 3 years and then the claim was denied. So much wasted money for no coverage, their customer service reps seem bored, inattentive and just seem as though they all around don’t care. If I could give them 0 or negative stars I would. I feel horrible that I wasted mine and my partners money these last few years. They also claim you’re getting a “discount” for not filing claims when really they’re just adjusting the price of your deductible to make your policy cheaper with out you... Read More

Great unless you have to deal with customer service... Forget getting service. Terrible!! If your lucky you might get one out of several who actually does their job and provides customer service. But they give you an answer that doesn't help then disconnect you from the chat without being able to respond.

We have had a very bad experience with this agency. They find faults with any claims you are giving them and deny all your claims under any possible pretexts; if your pet did not have a wellness check before you enroll in their policy, don't even expect that they will be looking at your claims seriously. They request a lot of documents and even letters from your vet to "reasess" your claims and then they still don't pay. If your exam is OK, they will ask you for a two-year medical history and find things there. They would pick up any tiny thing from your pet's most recent exam and use it as an excuse to not pay anything back. I would not recommend anyone to deal with Petplan.

Stay away from this insurance plan! After more than two years of paying premiums, that went from $ 53 to $ 73, (without any claims!), for my medium sized, healthy dog, he needed some dental work. $1100 for dental cleaning, anesthetic, 2 molar extractions, blood work, x-ray and pain meds. I submitted the bill. PetPlan needed more information! And then some more information! In order to keep the premium low, I agreed to cover the first $ 500 myself. So you think they would cover the rest. WRONG! from the remaining $ 600 of the vet bill they covered $388!!! I canceled via email only to be told I had to call them. Not once but twice. They continued to withdraw the premium. Called again to... Read More

I've had their coverage for 7 months, signed up two scottish fold kittens and a dog. FInally had my first claim and they are saying because there wasn't a urine exam when the cat was 8 weeks old that a urine blockage is pre-existing and will not cover me. The cat is 9 month old!! Absolutely terrible service, I am now out the insurance cost and the vet bill. Go somewhere else.

Their app is awful. Their online chat sends you to their app or website and ends the conversation. Their email said it had a link for forms I needed. No link! You call their phone number and it goes to an initialized voicemail. Trying to make my first claim. Not enjoying it so far.

Absolutely terrible. Staff are rude they don't listen to your point they have a script in front of them and keep repeating "it's policy". it's like you are talking to a robot. They don't meet you half way they have no understanding of what customer services actually means and entails. they misrepresented information about their coverage prior to purchasing the policy and now that my dog had an incident they outright denied it due to clause bla and stature bla! So basically I'm out of 700$ for my dog's medical expenses, on top of that I paid petplan every month for "coverage" which i never got. I called to cancel and all they said was "ok sure". Not even a simple "i'm sorry to hear". I feel... Read More
