Summary

Fetch provides a good mix of coverage and benefit options that makes it a solid choice if you are looking for pet insurance in Canada. Filing a claim is easy and claims are typically reimbursed within a couple of days. The company also features a number of discount options that can help pet owners make pet insurance more affordable. AARP members, Walmart shoppers, and pet parents who adopt can save on premiums, subject to approval. Fetch pretty much covers all the standard items you'd be looking for in a pet insurance provider and more. The fact that older animals are not discriminated against is a big plus, and 24/7 support, comprehensive coverage including payment of the veterinary exam fees, and great customer service are all nothing to sneeze at as well.

Worst Pet Insurance company - they attract clients with all kind of stories through their marketing strategies but when the time comes to pay, they just find some excuse not to cover or pay. I would highly recommend not to insure your pets through this company.....I have made close to $15K payments to my Vet through my credit card and they simply rejected. The Vet mentioned the Insurance company is going to reimburse and this company says that as per my claim this is preexisting and they won't. They took more than 4 months just to tell me this. DO NOT INSURE YOUR PETS THROUGH THIS COMPANY.....ITS ALL LIES WHAT THEY ADVERTISE..HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...GO TO SOME OTHER BETTER INSURANCE... Read More

PolicyAGC2033972-01 On July 27 I spoke to Dan and asked that both policies be cancelled immediately and no further payments put them. Today, I saw that you put thu charges on my Visa for 56.12 and 83.29 on July 27. Plse issue me a refund of these amounts.

We’ve been with Petplan going on a year, our dog is a one and a half year old small female . We’ve made four claims to date which they paid us for one. We took our dog to vet the other day because of a dewclaw problem and submitted the vet report and bill. A few days later I went in to check if it had gone through and noticed a dog with our dogs name had been added to our plan so I called to find out and was told me it was our dog but the rate went from $23.00 a month to $47.00 a month. I asked why and they said it was because of either the dogs age(which our dog is only 1 and half years old) or because of a lot of claims in our area (we live in a community of about 200 people) so in my... I read the comments on here and as a small business owner for 30 years I just know that the entire story is not being told, but I can tell you this, first and foremost READ the policy!!! They ask for specific things to be done such as a yearly health check and they clearly outline what they will and will not pay for. Again.....READ the policy, every word of it. I have had to submit 4 claims on my lab and each and every time the claims were paid within the terms and conditions outlined in the policy and they issued checks in a timely manner, I knew what paperwork to submit (cause I read the policy) and everything went very smoothly. This company is excellent to deal with.

my 4 year old dog suddenly got gastroenteritis. total bill was $5k and got $3k was covered without question. no phone calls made for any clarification and i got the chq within a month. the trick is - read and understand the policy before getting insurance or submitting a claim! i made sure to read every line of their policy and thought of how my dogs health and past vet visits would affect it before putting down any money towards it. if you buy pet insurance without doing that - you set yourself up for disappointment and wasting your money. so far this is the only insurance company that specified a curable medical condition and period, which is def a positive for me.

On New Years Eve our Goldendoodle Winston broke his radius. It was a scary time as vets were not open and we had to go to the emergency animal hospital. We were able to get him in for surgery two days later. Petplans policy covered his medication, his surgery, the metal plates that are now in his leg, multiple xrays, and follow up appointments. We are very grateful to have been with Petplan or else we would be looking at around $7000.00. It is kinda slow to get money back as a cheque is mailed to you vs just doing direct deposit, but money is money! Thanks Petplan!

Highway Robbery! Quoted my dogs at 190$ a month for the 6 year old even though has been insured since a pup and 240$ a month for 7 year old and been insured since a pup. This company takes advantage of the needing to switch companies and penalizes you for having a fur baby that ages.

I paid 331.00 for my dog's vet bill. Petplan covered 31.00. But has never reimbursed me. I have been fighting since January to get the 31.00 owed while paying 57.00 a month for this insurance. They blamed it on an old fax machine at my veterinarian office. I cancelled my policies today, I have 2 policies/dogs. Did they offer to get a cheque out to me? Nope. My deductible was 300.00 which I paid. Petplan owes me 31.00 But uses excuses to not pay. They say they are missing medical records, no they are not missing any records, paperwork or anything to verify the claim. They have my veterinarian's phone number and address written right on the claim/ bill. RIP OFF.

I have been a loyal Petplan fan for years. They have reduced my coverage for my plan a couple years ago, and this year they jacked up my premiums by 50%. I had 3 low cost claims last year which they paid nothing... Stay away, look for other options. Pure greed is what I see, they will screw you like they did me I hope they all rot in hell

How this company has almost a five star rating is beyond me, despite the fact that it has one bad review after another on most forums and sites, including this one. This company will gladly take your monthly premiums, but the moment you start to submit any kinds of claims or your pet simply starts to age beyond one year of age, they will decrease your coverage and increase your premiums without giving you any kind of real justification other than the obvious that they want your money but they don't want to ever pay out any claims. They take forever to process any claims you submit, jack up your premiums by ridiculous amounts after year one, the customer service is a joke and they just... Read More
