Embrace gets good marks from us mainly on the strength of customer satisfaction.

Even though plans are a little on the pricier side, and unlimited coverage is not an option, customer feedback is among the most positive.

Also, Embrace offers standard coverage of many conditions and treatments not offered at all by most plans. These include behavioral therapy and prosthetics.

Embrace sets itself apart from the pack in coverage because, in addition to providing for usual accidents and illnesses, the company also covers various items not traditionally offered under other companies' standard plans.

These include prosthetic limbs, behavioral therapy, and alternative treatments. Embrace also offers prescription drug coverage and a wellness plan at an additional cost.

As with all pet insurance plans, Embrace will not cover pre-existing conditions if they were apparent before the policy purchase.

Embrace's waiting periods are pretty much standard when compared to other companies.

For accidents and illnesses, the waiting period is 14 days. However, in some states, the waiting period for accidents is only 48 hours or two days.

There is an additional six month waiting period for dogs for orthopedic conditions, but there is an option to have this reduced to as little as 14 days.

Embrace will not allow pets older than 14 to enroll in illness coverage, which some other plans do.

Embrace has some of the best feedback we've seen when it comes to customer service.

The majority of online reviews mirror generally positive experiences. To make a claim you must fill out the claim form that was included with the enrollment email.

You can also download the form on the website or have it mailed to you. The form must be filled out by a veterinary staff member. Include all relevant invoices and receipts and fax or email them all to the company.

Embrace offers direct deposit to get you the reimbursement as quickly as possible. Furthermore, beginning recently, claim forms can now also uploaded through MyEmbrace, the company's online customer account.

Our great Dane Abbey is our world! My husband and I have children from prior marriages that are grown so she is our daughter. We had visitation as a pup, selected her together, training vacations etc. She is only 3 and has been super health until a month ago. She has some major heart problems and my husband and I are heart broken. Embrace has made our lives so much easier. They have made the financial piece less stressful and allowed us to focus on our baby no matter the cost. They have not denied any of our illness claims. They are professional, helpful and the turnaround is very quick. Very thankful I chose them!

I have been an Embrace customer for over 3 three years. I chose Embrace because I liked the reviews I read, the helpfulness of the representative I spoke with and most importantly the fact that a portion of my premium goes to no kill animal shelters. The staff are always pleasant and very helpful with answering any questions I have asked. Most recently, I had to take my 2 year old cat to the vet as she was not eating. The diagnosis was pancreatitis plus inflammation of other internal organs. The vet bills were high from all the blood tests, x-rays, medicines, and ultra sounds. I made my first claim and it was so simple and quick, just filled out a very short simple form and within DAYS I had my reimbursement! When I called with questions, they were very kind and helpful. So glad I got this insurance!

Thank goodness I have Embrace Pet Health Insurance for my cat "Lilly" This is the second time Lilly was injured, Embrace really made things easy with getting reimbursement, I had my hands full with taking care of Lilly. Also, this was the first time I called the 24/7 veterinarian help line. The veterinarian I spoke to was super fantastic! She calmed my worries and gave me good advice then followed up a few days later to see how Lilly was doing. She was very compassionate and professional. If you need to have any questions answered in the middle of the night, please don't hesitate to call the 24/7 help line, someone very professional will be there for you.

As a human health care provider and business owner, I was skeptical of Embrace. They have proven throughout my pet Edgar's injury to be transparent, reliable, and prompt in managing and reimbursing for his claim. In a difficult time through a painful injury, surgery, and recovery for my Great Dane, Embrace was a company I could count on.

Claim payment is fast, and submitting a claim is painless. I highly recommend Embrace Pet Insurance. It certainly gives peace of mind that my dogs will get the care they need if injured or sick.

Great pet insurance. Took my poor sick cat to the vet. The bill was $400. I sent the claim for in and in less than 2 weeks I received a check back so it was around $125 out of pocket. Yeah! I highly recommend this. Everyone at embrace is so helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks so.

My experience with Embrace has been quite positive. I called with a question about a claim and the customer service was fantastic and both helped explain the results and fix a problem in a timely fashion. I never get the impression that Embrace is trying to get out of covering services that are available to me in my contract. I feel that Embrace is here to help me and my pets.
