Eusoh provides pet owners with a way to meet their veterinary expenses. by sharing the cost of veterinary care with their co-members.
One key difference between Eusoh and traditional insurance plans is its pricing structure. To join Eusoh, you must open a deposit account and fund it with $48. The company draws upon this deposit to reimburse members for their veterinary bills. Customers are required to top off their funding accounts up to $48 each month. Because you will only contribute for the actual expenses Eusoh incurs, you won't know exactly how much you will pay to top off your account—the amount will vary monthly. Your monthly top-off fee will never exceed $48 and, to date, it has always been lower. At the end of the month, once Eusoh balances its books, some funds may be redeposited in your account. The company reports that this happens frequently and that the monthly top-off fee members actually pay averages between $24 and $30 a month. Should you ever decide to discontinue coverage through Eusoh, the money in your deposit account will be fully refunded.

Eusoh covers all dogs and cats regardless of age—one important differentiator for senior pet owners. The company doesn't cover pre-existing conditions, which is not unusual. However they do not have the same flexible definition of pre-existing as some other insurers, who consider a condition new if your pet has not been treated for it for a year. With Eusoh, once a pet is treated for a condition, it remains a pre-existing condition forever.

Eusoh reimburses you for your expenses on the 28th day of the month. So the maximum number of days you should have to wait for reimbursement is 30 days. However, you must submit your claims by the 28th day of the month during which your pet had treatment. That means that if your pet was treated on the 26th of the month, you'd have just 2 days to make a claim for it to be eligible for reimbursement that month. That may amount to a burden for customers who live very busy lives or who may not be particularly proactive when it comes to paperwork. But if you miss the deadline, your claim will be paid at the end of the next month.
Eusoh reimburses you through your deposit account. Customers can withdraw funds and have them applied to a debit card or via ACH transfer.

The first is a deposit account fee, which may vary from month to month depending on contributions from other members and how much all members' pets' veterinarian care costs. Each month, you will be required to top up your deposit account. You will also pay a monthly subscription fee. The company states that members will never pay more than $65 per month for coverage. If the company learns you have not been forthcoming on any issue, it may deny coverage for any claim, regardless of whether the treatment your pet required relates to a misreported prior condition.

They gave customers 30 days notice of shutting down and left us without any alternatives to pick up the slack, i.e. any conditions my cat was diagnosed with while covered under Eusoh are not covered by any other insurance I would buy. I've spent $2,000 on my elderly cat since Eusoh shut down 3 months ago.
