PetFirst Healthcare LLC is a pet insurance company that was founded in 2004 and based in Jeffersonville, Indiana. It offers accident and illness coverage for cats and dogs and operates in all 50 states.

The company offers discounts for those with multiple pets, and allows you to choose any vet you like without pre-approval.

PetFirst offers an enrollment process that is easier than most. They do not require a vet exam, and accident coverage starts in 24 hours.

Additionally, the company has no upper age limit on enrollment, and no waiting periods for a few conditions many other providers outright just don't cover.

PetFirst also has a healthy pet discount for every year you don't make a claim. The upper tier plans, however, are on the pricier side, and the company does not offer unlimited coverage.

This is the worst insurance company ever. Disrespectful and awful service. they do whatever twisted process in order not to approve any of the claims summitted. I'm extremely disappointed. they literally play with people's time.

My service dog has been ensured by PetFirst for three years. This year he needed a large benign tumor removed. All went well, but too more unexpected surgeries followed. PetFirst took care of the bills with no hassle and in a timely fashion in spite of Corona-19. My out-of-pocket cost was exactly the amount I anticipated and could afford. Before choosing PetFirst I researched other companies. I made the right choice for my peace of mind, my companion's health, and my pocketbook. When you love your dog, you do the best for them and they come first. PetFirst lives up to its name.

I've been a customer of PetFirst since I adopted my two kitties. I find them easy to work with and love that whenever I call with any question, I am actually able to speak to a live person. Everyone that I spoke with while submitting my claim was courteous and helpful, also.

We had Pet First insurance for a little over year when we found out that our dog had to have cruciate ligament repair. The claim submission was easy and super fast. The reimbursement came as promised. I am so glad that we choose pet First Insurance.

I have been a customer since I rescued Penny 5 years ago and thank god we've never had to use. I got my renewal policy and I was as hot as a pistol. Well, I got transferred to a wonderful young lady. Not only did she calm me down and but she lowered my premium. She was very proficient and helpful. Great customer service. Lowered my premium and better coverage.
