I just replaced my 18 year-old Hunter Douglas blinds on two floors of my house because the old ones were not working properly, dirty, etc. However I kept the basement ones because they are still in very good shape! I cannot say that I am happy with the new ones: the quality has definitely gone down, they don't close as tightly, and when closed, they look awful because the vanes are not equally spaced so it creates a pattern - not an attractive one! The old ones are much much better - no comparison! So anyone thinking about getting Hunter Douglas mini-blinds - forget it! They are cheaply made!

Worst blinds I ever purchased and I have thrown away about $2,000. I got no satisfaction from direct contact with the company. It is now slightly over one year and I have to replace one of the blinds already as the cord snapped. In my correspondence with Hunter Douglas representatives I told them on several occasions they were difficult to pull up/down. What a waste of money.
