In addition to most of the usual discounts, State offers some innovative ways to save money. Drivers can save month by taking drivers education or by completing an accident prevention course. The company also offers a telematics program whereby a monitoring device on the insured vehicle is used to assess how safely it is being operated. State Auto do not pay and give hard time at the time when Texas have winter disaster in the week of 15th Feb, 2021. Their claim Adjuster are very negative behaviour and try to take excuse to not to pay. State Auto Policy premium was cheaper than other carriers so my agent recommend to me. But now I am regretting as unable to get claim for flooded house due to water pipe busted. I have to cancel my Sate Auto policies as there is no use. Adjuster treat policy holders like their enemy.

Had 3 houses with them and everything was fine until I had wind damage to one of them...Dropped them in the middle of the policy...Save your money and go to a real insurance company

I want to thank State Auto for declining to be my insurance. I have blindly been loyal to State Auto for over 2 decades. I built a new home with a self contained high efficiency fire place unit. 18 months later I am being rejected. I have my home , cabin ,rentals , business and auto insurance with them . There are lots of insurers who like my business. There is no need to be loyal. I will say that my agent was excellent. Lee

The worst so far. My child got hit while driving , and when we try to reach the adjuster ,( more than 20 times) we never get a call back. I guess keep trying. They are the modern day criminal enterprise. Collect fast, pay slow.

Why are you continuously increasing my (AMS0022350) Insurance premium? I have been an insurer for many years, and I know, and you know also, that it is unfair for you to continue increasing my insurance rates, and so often; This time around $11.00. The rating that I have given is because of the fore stated.

The worst insurance ever! First claim I ever had was severe wind hail damage, huge tree uprooting which they declined a big portion, then increased my insurance.. I heard it was bad but now I know.. Stay away

if I could give zero stars I would. Very unhappy with this company. So much so, not only are we leaving our insurance broker and 2 other family members are leaving.

I was with State Auto insurance. I moved and updated my address on my credit card, but forgot to update my address with S.A. which meant my CC wouldn't go through. So, I missed 1 payment last week (and I had auto pay and haven't ever missed a payment). My Bob Hart Agent called me and said you were dropped and they didn't know why. So I called S.A. myself..... even if I made a payment it wasn't guaranteed that they would reinstate me. Really??!! An honest mistake and no track record of any issue. I honestly just moved.. Guess I'll take my business elsewhere. I don't reccomended doing business with them after this.
