AFC Home Club’s hybrid policies cover many of the same systems and appliances as its competitors.

Notwithstanding the lack of included specialty items, a good benefit is their user friendly, every-item service cap of $1,500-$2,000. HVAC systems are subject to no coverage caps, which is a great addition for the company.

AFC Home Club only covers issues that arise after they begin providing service. Exclusions covered in the below link refer to AFC's Platinum plan, which is the most comprehensive.

In addition to a personalized quote calculator and sample contract available on the website, a 30-day refund policy is guaranteed, as is a pro-rated version after that period.

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel the policy any time for any reason for a pro-rated refund. If AFC cancels a customer for non-payment, though, no refund is due.

New members may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid membership. After 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid membership fee, less any claims paid or time used in membership by CRAST, and a $75.00 cancellation fee.

AFC Home Club's service fees of $75, $100, and $125 keeps them competitive with comparable companies in the industry. Its 30 day waiting period is fairly standard.

AFC allows customers to work with out-of-network contractors of their choosing.

However, they do have to be licensed, bonded and insured. AFC only requires maintenance on HVAC systems in the first year of the contact.

Moreover, if a claim is filed before the 30-day waiting period has expired, the maximum payout amount is limited to $150.

this company is a major ripoff they do not warranty anything unless it is new!!!!! otherwise they give you a figure that is prorated through average lifetime of the product. I had a water heater that had failed the new water heater cost roughly $1500.00 to be installed and what they came up with was 150.00 for customer satisfaction because they said that the water heater was due to out anyway. i explained that is why I needed a warranty and understood once that i had the service fee of 100+ than they would cover the rest of it. the representative said that was not how the warranty worked. i had asked to speak with a supervisor and no one had called me back. If I could give no stars I would, DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, I have used other home warranty companies in the past and never had a claim denied this company likes to deny claims with loop holes!!!!!!!

Don't use this company. This is cheating. If I can give them no star, I am willing to give zero star to them. When I got this warranty, they explained me that all the heating or a/c issue will be included. The only thing I need to pay is just $60 trip fee, so I got the premium plan. My heater is not working fine, so I just called help. When the technician told me about it, they could just replace the control panel whatever, and I need to pay only $60 for trip charge. I got a phone call from the company and I heard that they couldn't pay it cause the damaged one was control panel that they were covering, but the damage was from secondary source from some of my neighbors or some... Well, I have to join the "should have read the Yelp reviews" crowed. Simple pool motor went south 6 months into my new home with existing equipment. $575 for the warranty, $60 for their tech to come out and confirm and then they deny the claim saying it's too old and normal wear and tear. Well what isn't? How do these people stay in business. 30 minutes on hold only for their rep to read from their contract, a small line in their contract you get after you buy that says they don't cover unknown or pre existing conditions. Terrible crooks! They give you the run around, don't help you or reimburse or honor their own contract after taking your money! The positive reviews I see are from Marietta, GA, where their office is. Despicable!

Pump went out on our washer. The tech submitted the wrong model number which led AFC to believe the washer was a lot older than the reality. The rep I spoke to on the phone was polite, professional and we quickly got the error fixed, and the washer fixed!

We got AFC Home Club due to its cost and what was all included with it. Their claims representatives were friendly and helpful. We live out in the middle of nowhere, so it was hard to find somebody that would come out. When our freezer was not cooling and the fridge cut off too, I had to unplug it and it took everything out. When the technician came, he plugged it back in and it started working. He also pulled a piece off, which they had to replace at their expense. My stuff in the freezer was still soft so they came back out. However, the freezer was not working still, so my husband called them again and they sent out a senior technician. I've always had a home warranty, but I never liked American Home Shield. I fired them and terminated their service years ago. AFC is certified and approved, and they're endorsed by the Better Business Bureau. They've been very professional, courteous and fast each time I submit a claim. They explain everything very well. A technician comes in within a couple of days and depending on my schedule, but they’re normally readily available within 24 to 48 hours. They’re very patient.  Overall AFC has been excellent because I bought this house April 1st, 2013, built from the ground up and they built the house so fast that I didn’t think I could’ve sued them for negligence. I bought a home, moved into it and wanted something better than the home warranty company I had. I did a Google search and AFC had the best reviews. When I submitted a claim with them, it went smooth and the rep had it pushed through pretty quickly. The tech who came was a local company that I used a few times directly on my other needs. He was excellent.

I am not one to normally write reviews. I am a simple person who just wants to get what they pay for and I believe in Karma. I needed to tell other about this company so they too can experience what it is like to have someone stand up to their word, which is not normal these days. I called AFC about 2pm when it got real hot here about a week ago. My house was 79 degrees and my pregnant wife was about to have a fit. They had the tech at my door within 3 hours, be it this was a heat wave and he was still there that day! He was working on the unit for about 2 hours and it ended up needed quite the repair, when all was said and done what was asked of me? NOTHING ALL I PAID WAS $60.00... Read More
