Home Service Club’s base-level 12 month home warranties start with a minimum annual premium of $400.

Coverage is not dependent on a home inspection, and this price point is slightly on the higher side of the industry standard.
With that in mind, they do offer a 30 day pro-rated cancellation policy, minus a $45 dollar administration fee.

Cancellation Policy

The customer may cancel the HSC service agreement for any reason within the first thirty 30 days following the date of purchase and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred by HSC and an administrative fee of up to $45.

After 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45.

This contract may be canceled by HSC for nonpayment of contract fee, fraud or misrepresentation by the customer, by agreement between client and company, or if the customer threatens to harm or does harm the safety or well-being of HSC, their property, employees or contractors.

HSC may cancel the contract without reason at any time in the first 30 days following its effective date.

If HSC cancels the contract within the first 30 days, the customer will not be charged an administrative fee and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred.

If HSC cancels the contract after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45.

When I called they picked up the phone rite away I did not have to wait to speak to someone I was able to get service the next morning. This is exactly as advertised a good service.

In June 2016 I signed a warranty contract with Home Service Club (HSC) to cover my aging systems an appliances since my house is built in 1997. My main concern was my AC system specially in the heat waves of the south when it works the hardest. A couple of days ago our 2nd floor A/C unit stopped cooling so I gave them a call and a day later they sent someone to take a look. The technician said the unit is working but is low in the refrigerant (Freon) and there might be a leak somewhere. So he called them back and I overheard him discussing replacement costs with them. Repair man came out that this compnay sent and did a repair on out air conditioner. worked great for a few days and then gave out agian. We called the repair man and he came out agian and this time said it was a much more significant failure and a differnet one from last one and we needed to let warranty company know. At first it was a bit frustrating because we felt he should have diagnosed and repaired it the first time. After talking to the warranty company a few times and doing some research it seems that there was no way he can diagnose it cause it was working and the part failed electrically. I purchased a home warranty from this company on 06/17/2016. I initially decided on HSC due to their no hassle online service request and the information received from their customer representative. I bought the comprehensive plan and added roof coverage as my package. I told HSC that my house was an older house and all the appliances were on the older side and would probably need repair soon, and asked if that would pose any problems as far as service request or coverage. I researched home warranty companies for several weeks. The Home Service Club got into my final choice, based on being "Best in Service" by Home Warranty Repairs the past two years - 2015 and 2016. For Real? Recently I had an extremely frustrating experience with them. I was very unsatisfied with service and unreasonably long waiting time. So after all, I am going to cancel my policy immediately. Its rare that I write such things but I feel really good about the way I was treated and the service i received. last week we entered our second year with this home warranty, and we placed our third claim. We had a issue with the water heater it was leaking from the bottom of the water heater. They sent out a plumber who came with a new water heater in his pickup truck. They had not been out to see the water heater but the person on the phone asked if I would not mind going to the water heater to look at it and go over some simple questions, I was happy to do so. The plumber showed up and replaced the water heater there was no headaches no issues at all.

I called earlier today around 1pm. The customer service lady told me I did not have a claim with them. I was taken aback by this information, so I checked my bank account. Yep! They sure took their money out of my account just like I thought. I called back, only to wait for over one hour--someone abruptly disconnected me from waiting on hold. I called back again and after 3 minutes was able to speak to someone. I placed my claim for a busted air conditioning in my home. I was told that I could call "after a week" in order to file a claim (this is what makes them different from their competitors). Just got of the phone with Anna, Submitted claim for microwave (which had actually been failing for several weeks) and oven, tech came 2 days ago and said neither could be repaired (units to old, parts not available) and would need to be replaced. Did not hear from HSC so after 2 days of tech visit I called and they said they were still working on determining how to handle a case that involves units to old to get parts for (hard to believe a home warranty company has not dealt with this scenario many time before).
