Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Just been a customer for two months and already happy. My lights started flickering and making a claim was as pain free as possible. Final job was done a couple weeks ago and still operates as needed thanks!

Tom helped me out from the repair service center on some lighting around the ceiling that kept flickering. He explained everything to my husband and I and after an hour was finished with his work. Happy as can be!

They are horrible, I paid for my warranty service in full and called about two issues months after having the coverage and had to argue with supervisors just for them to send a technician to my house about my microwave tripping the circuit breaker and they just wanted to give me $80 towards the replacement of a built in microwave in a 2 year old product. The technician came and fixed it in 30 minutes. Second issue was my heat pump the technician came out and stated I needed a transformer for my heat pump, he called to get the approval they said it will have to wait for further approval, I called them right back and explained I have a 3 month old child and I have no heat in the winter,... Next to the fridge is the dish washer which had a leak. I called Select post haste and the appointment was set for the following morning. The tech was wonderful. He not only fixed the leak he checked the refrigerator for water damage. Excellent service.

Power outage caused me a burnout of the garage door motor somehow. I got a claim approval two days after claim setup and since then did have the repair guy come out and figure out which wire went out and get the door up and running again.

This claim has been a nightmare from start to (not quite yet) finish. I submitted a claim in mid-November. I've been ignored, promises have been made and broken to follow up with me repeatedly, Select Home Warranty won't pay the repair company directly (that they chose), I must pay and then (hopefully) be reimbursed by SHW, and they aren't even willing to pay the full amount to fix the unit, so I'm out a lot of money. This has been absolutely the worst customer service experience I've had in my lifetime. I will NOT be renewing my contract after expiration. And I'm holding my breath that nothing else breaks between now and then because I NEVER want to deal with Select Home Warranty... Read More
