Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

The call and setup was easy. The guy I spoke with was a bit gruff, but he gave me a good deal, and suggested free promotions that I didn't even know about. I haven't used their services yet so I can't speak for that. Full disclosure: they offer a free month of service for a positive review on here. I'm not sure if that's kosher, but I had a relatively positive experience so far, and would like a free month of service.

Waited 8 months to get a refrigerator repaired and reimbursed only $200. Called for a built in oven claim got a reply that they will pay only $90.

Not reputable company. Try for yourself and just pray nothing goes wrong. Because they will deny the repair man his money and then tell the repair man to call the homeowner to get paid.

I purchased a home warranty that covers water heaters. My water heater stopped working, so I contacted Select Home Warranty and opened a claim. The service agreement provides for 12-24 hour response. For several days, I was told that they were "still trying to locate a technician" and finally gave me the option to hire my own plumber and agreed to reimburse me the cost of repairing or replacing the water heater. The plumber came and inspected my water heater, determined it needed replacing, contacted Select Home Warranty, and was given the go-ahead to replace it. I needed answers on the details of the warranty I was looking for. The rep answered all my questions and really helped me make the decision on what would best fit my needs. He also offered me access to additional discounts I wasn't aware were available. I was very happy with the service.
