Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I called 7 times and kept getting hung up on. Finally I got a rep who got me enrolled in less than 5 mins, explained all of my questions, and that was that! Very quick, very professional, and polite!

I’ve been waiting for8 days to have a technician assigned to my 1st SHW claim. Shirlyn was the first customer service rep who took the time to explain that dispatch couldn’t find a repair person specific to my refrigerator brand and she expedited the process. Select home Warranty is barely a company. I have been under contract for almost 2 years now and have filed 3 claims. First claim: dishwasher. Taken care of quickly enough. Not really fixed but Ill give the benefit of the doubt and blame the technician on that. Second Claim: HVAC. took almost a month to get a technician out. Took for more months for them to recognize that they received the inspection report. Only for them to deny the claim. close to 20 hours on the phone with them pushing things a long to no end. Third Claim: Refrigerator . small water leak. Covered under the contract. They denied claim saying it was not covered. I called, representative said it was denied in error... Read More

On the first time I used Select very bad experience. Refrigerator went out and one week later received an email with a $200 offer toward any repairs I have done. What a joke! What happened to repair or replace covered items. Wish I could give stars in the minus.

Just got off the phone with Scott and he was very rude when inquiring about a quote and hung up on me. He said the price changes so call back when you're ready to enroll even though I told him I need to speak to my husband first to confirm. I went to ask another question and he hung up. Very rude.

Do not subscribe to this company. They would not cover a claim where the technician they sent was negligent and damaged our refrigerator.

onestly, if I could give zero stars, I would. By far the worst experience I’ve ever dealt with in my life. Our furnace went out right after thanksgiving. It was old and we knew when we purchased the house that we were on borrowed time with it. That time finally came and we were ok because we knew we had a home warranty. That was Mistake 1. We got the claim process started with Select and they relatively quickly assigned us a tech. That particular tech/company No Showed for 3 different appointments with no call or explanation. Is that Selects fault? Outside of knowing who you are working with, not necessarily. So we called back and requested a new tech. No problem, we’ll get you a new one.... Read More

Do not waste your time or money with this company. My heater went out right before an expected freeze (bad timing for sure) They kept giving me a runaround, expected me to go into y attic and take pictures- I am over 50 and I am not going into my attic. Then they wanted maintenance records, I owned the home for 5 years, and the system never broke down, so I have no records. It is going to freeze, and I have no heat, and they do not care at all. RUN

Not sure why this company has a five star average - couldnt secure a technician for over a week then continually gave technicans the incorrect phone number. Made an appliance claim 70 days into policy and they would only cover 150 on an appliance repair. Total waste of money - they are a scam... save your money go elsewhere!
