Byte offers patients who need minor to moderate alignment enjoy a better smile at a reasonable cost, without having to visit the orthodontist frequently. Byte's aligners are made of BPA-free plastic that gradually shift teeth into straighter alignment. To qualify for treatment, consumers complete an impression mold of their teeth at home or schedule an in-office scan with a Byte affiliated dentist. If the patient's teeth qualify for treatment, these digital scans are used to generate a custom treatment plan. Customers can see a 3D model of what their smile could look like after treatment. Once approved, patients then purchase a full treatment package, composed of multiple aligners they will change every week. At the end of the treatment, a free set of retainers is provided to retain the alignment (recommended 6-month wear time)

Byte uses the impression kit molds or in-office digital scans to create the custom aligner treatment plan. Fitting and ongoing treatment is all performed remotely. After you purchase your aligners, you'll soon receive the first 15 steps of your aligner treatment delivered to your door. This was at first an exciting experience. The customer care team was quick and available when I got started. Offered less then helpful information about how my aligners should fit as I progressed through each week and alas the lack of communication and clear direction led to aligners that didn’t fit and a halt in progress. So eventually of course I needed a refinement set. I’ve text and emailed 6 times in the last three weeks with no response on next steps. My treatment plan has not been updated on my account either so I can’t review the new treatment since no one has replied to me. So. Beware. I've always been very self-conscious about the crowding in my lower teeth and thus have explored braces and Invisalign as options for years but found that Invisalign was way too expensive and I hated the thought of having braces for a year or more. When I came across Byte, I kind of thought it was too good to be true...so I did lots of research, read tons of positive reviews and found that it was one of the most affordable options and I decided to go for it! I started my 12 week Byte at Night experience 10 months ago and have not had much success. I was supposed to change aligners every 7 days and it would take at least 2 - 4 weeks per change out. For the past 5 months I have been in Upper Tray 5 and Lower Tray 8, unable to get the next set of trays to work. I contacted byte and they sent refinement aligners, a new 10 week program; however, I can't get them to fit at all so here I am over $2,000 out of pocket paid upfront and I'm basically restarting the program with aligners not fitting. Also, when my original aligners arrived, I was missing aligners and had to contact them to send those. When I contact byte needing actual help it takes days... Read More
