Excellent experience. They did an outstanding job with our antique furniture on a very cold day. Personable, hard-working, made good suggestions, and went above and beyond.
so far we are having a terrible experience. Everything that could go wrong (well, so far the truck hasn't been a wreck that I know of). - NOTHING has gone as promised, and the "Just in case" phone number goes unanswered. Estimate was "adjusted" upward, then upward again; driver insisted on additional cash payment, delivery window has been missed, driver not responding, and contact info instructs to CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE but doesn't provide that number. Feeling like hostages, and no answer at any of the company phone numbers.
Complete bait and switch scam... BUYER BEWARE Stay away !!! Quoted A price of 5k for a move. Nothing changed from the inventory that was given and they then said on moving day it would cost $12k . Of course I went a different direction and this how they get you. Either pay now because most people moving across country may say go ahead, because they need it done and when people say no to Cross country movers they then use the excuse you waited till day of to cancel, so you are not entitled to your deposit. This is a broker and not a mover. Your satisfaction will be based on who they find to do the move, and it is not guaranteed to be a good experience. My move from Chicago to Austin was a nightmare. CC Movers underestimated the space needed based on a storage unit dimensions, then contracted Best Price movers. CC Movers claims to have a 24hr support, but it is only a call service and you won't get a call back even after the weekend. Best Price has even worse customer service, with a dispatcher who sends your calls to voicemail and doesn't return them, and a policy that you can't use a money order for final delivery. Serious issues with both these companies you should stay away from.
The team of movers was amazing and super efficient. They showed up on time and took about as long as quoted. They were very nice and friendly as well. I will definitely use them next time I need movers. Worth every penny!

After reading the positive reviews and my moving experience, I question how many of them were written by employees of Cross Country Moving. Cross Country does not move you so I don't understand all of these reviews talking about the excellent care. It is obvious the work is sub contracted out when this strange moving company calls you before the move. I may have just gotten a bad subcontractor, but the moving company hired by Cross Country to move my daughter was the worst. The subcontractor was Mover's Van Lines. This company is fraudulent. As defined by the US Department of Transportation: "There are many kinds of moving fraud. One of the most common is when a “rogue” mover provides a low cost quote to perform an interstate move, loads your goods onto their truck, and then claims your load is over the weight estimate and the additional weight will be charged at an exorbitant price per pound. Consumers are forced to pay double or higher the original estimate just to get their belongings back." Cross Country Movers is guilty of multiple counts of moving fraud. Very shady. Changed the dates of my move without letting me know, costing me hundreds of dollars. They seem trustworthy at first, but as soon as they have your money they are a lot less concerned about your experience. Avoid if possible
Moving is no easy task, especially if you are moving across the country with pets. Lucky for me Cross Country did a great job. Nothing but excellent service from start to finish. They were great working with our family’s needs and were quick to respond to all of our questions before hand. During the actual moving days we were under tough time constraints. The workers showed up on time and worked hard to help me get my home packed up. But they worked hard to finish on time and with no incidences.
