Overall Rating: 3.8 / 5 (Very good)

FamilyTime is loaded with features, some of them quite unique, like alerts for when a teen is speeding, a pick-up button that gives children an easy way to tell parents where they are, and a way to bank phone time for later use. In addition, comprehensive filtering and blocking features enable parents to protect their children and stop them from wandering into dangerous content through search engines. We recommend FamilyTime as a parental control software alternative for anyone who doesn't mind the lack of social media monitoring and the mixed customer feedback.

FamilyTime Features & Services

Features & Services - 4.2 / 5

FamilyTime offers an impressive list of features, including phone scheduling, selective app blocking, and some truly unique services like “SpeedAlert,” which lets parents set a speed limit and alerts them if the teen drives over it. The app is able to filter and block offensive material on the internet, which is a big problem for most parents. Parents can also block content that includes specific keywords. FamilyTime does not feature social media monitoring, however, which is somewhat dissapointing.

This company is a SCAM!!! They charged us last year and would not refund our money and tried to charge us again!!! I am filing a charge against them with the BBB and since it's from Japan I'll be filing with the FCC also. I tried contacting them but they blocked me when I told them that i was filing charges. Will not work on Apple phoned !!!!

This company is fradulent. It exists purely to sell you an app where you have no recourse to get your money back. Customer service exists to ensure that you have no way to get your money back. RUN!

THIS IS A SCAM DO NOT USE THIS APP!!!!, YOU THINK IT WORKS AT FIRST...IT DOES NOT. I CANCELLED MY SUBSCRIPTION AND WAS STILL CHARGED THE $35 AFTER A YEAR WAS UP BECAUSE THEY STILL HAD MY CARD NUMBER ON FILE. I CONTINUED TO GET EMAILS STATING THAT I WOULD GET A REFUND AND NEVER DID. I HAVE NOW CANCELLED THAT DEBIT CARD, AND MADE A FRADULENT CLAIM WITH MY BANK!! THE ONLY WAY TO SPEAK WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE IS CHAT OR EMAIL, THEY HAVE NO PHONE SERVICE

This company is absolutely horrible. If I could rate them a big fat zero I would...STAY AWAY! Their program is mediocre at best and their customer service sucks big time. They triple charged me for services and only refunded me for one of the charges. I'm still trying to get my refund. Then when I informed them I did not want to renew my subscription they cancelled me immediately when I still had a month of service left. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I made the mistake of purchasing FamilyTime without appreciating the limited capabilities for iOS when compared to Android. I purchased a 1 year subscription. After about 2 weeks, I realized the limited features on iOS and requested a refund. After numerous emails, I was issued NO REFUND. It seems the company is more concerned with retaining my $28 versus doing what is right.

This company is totally unethical. I did lots of research and decided their app was best for my needs, but as soon as I installed it I found that it no longer allowed me to "pause" or "set daily limits" on an Apple device, even though both features were listed on the website. I contacted them and they said those features had been blocked by Apple. After all the wasted time finding the product didn't do what they said it would (I took screen shots of the features) I was frustrated so the day after I'd installed it I asked for a refund. Initially they said they would, however they then refused saying I couldn't get a refund because I'd chosen a discount (which they up-sold me when i... Read More

This application doesn't work as advertised. Contacted Customer Service multiple times in the first 2 days. Not worth it.

This app sucks. It doesn't work for monitoring anything. Customer support is useless. They also have unscrupulous business tactics. When I first went to their site to read through what the app was capable of, a live chat box popped up saying to use code ___?___ to get 10% off a 1 year subscription. Great. So I use the code and get my discount. After installing the app and realizing it doesn't work as reported, I emailed customer support to cancel my subscription and get my money refunded since it was only 2 days (they have a 3 day free trial period). Now I know why that trial period is so short. The response I got was no refund. Since I used a discount code, I don't get a free trial... Read More

Terrible unethical business practice. The app wouldn’t download to my kid’s app because of incompatibility issue, so I didn’t even get to use the app. They refused to issue a refund. There’s no reason for me to look at this app again when I upgrade my devices.

Worst ever app -- DO NOT BUY THIS. All the features can be installed directly on an iOS device, the Parental Dashboard (if you can get it set up) gives continual errors and is nearly useless. This does not allow you to remotely see text level detail, control specific apps (only broad groups of apps that aren't clear as to why they are grouped together) and without my asking, after the 3 day trial, they just shut this off and sent me an email saying that was it, so my child had full access again without me knowing it ahead of time. DON'T waste time or money with this app, it is worthless.
