Overall Rating: 3.8 / 5 (Very good)

FamilyTime is loaded with features, some of them quite unique, like alerts for when a teen is speeding, a pick-up button that gives children an easy way to tell parents where they are, and a way to bank phone time for later use. In addition, comprehensive filtering and blocking features enable parents to protect their children and stop them from wandering into dangerous content through search engines. We recommend FamilyTime as a parental control software alternative for anyone who doesn't mind the lack of social media monitoring and the mixed customer feedback.

FamilyTime Features & Services

Features & Services - 4.2 / 5

FamilyTime offers an impressive list of features, including phone scheduling, selective app blocking, and some truly unique services like “SpeedAlert,” which lets parents set a speed limit and alerts them if the teen drives over it. The app is able to filter and block offensive material on the internet, which is a big problem for most parents. Parents can also block content that includes specific keywords. FamilyTime does not feature social media monitoring, however, which is somewhat dissapointing.

Highly suggested, it the most flexible app to keep a check on your kids without getting involved in their activities. i was facing the same problem to keep a track over my kid's gadgets as i am a working women and cant stay with him all the times. A colleague of mine gave me this idea to download "familytime' as she is using this app for her kids and monitor everything from office.so i downloaded it and since then restricting my kids's content, apps and much more.

I have been on customer service chat multiple time a day since installation. Chat takes FOREVER. I was once on chat for 45 minutes and all the agent managed to do was ask for my email and what type of device I was using. The customer service people DO NOT CARE AT ALL if the app is not working for you. They tell you the same instructions over and over again. Mostly power down your kid's phone, restart, wait an HOUR and then log back in to family time. I have spent WAY TOO MUCH of my holiday break trying to trouble shoot this app. I can't tell you what a massive disappointment it is, and adding insult to injury they truly don't care. When I said I would be requesting a refund if the... Read More

Terrible product and deceptive business practices. I was in the middle of signing up for their free 3 day trial when a customer service chat window opened and the agent offered me a discount. I accepted the discount and set about installing and configuring the app. I was led to believe on a previous call that their app could individually block apps, but that is not the case for their IOS version. That feature only exists in their Android version. In the IOS version, you either block all the apps or none of them and if you do block all of them, it erases the icons FOR EVERY APP ON THE PHONE! When you re-enable, they are in different positions, scattered all over the place. Since this... Read More

Do not use this app. First, the app does not work well with apple devices. I cancelled the service within the trial period over a year ago and have yet to see a refund. Not only did the company not give the refund, but continued the service as if I had never cancelled...without my knowledge. After a year I got an email asking if I want to renew. I was so confused. I emailed and explained that I had already cancelled and had the email thread to confirm the cancellation. I re-cancelled. They told me they would refund my money...that was 4 months ago. What a hassle! Also, I don't know how to delete the stupid app from my son's ipod. DO NOT get this service...it stinks!

Terrible product! You should avoid at all costs. Doesn't work on Samsung tablet. The company wouldn't reimburse for the defective product. The interface is very poor. Qustodio is a far better product. Customer support is pushy and not helpful. As a former programmer I was very dissatisfied and disappointed in the poor quality of the product. If you are going to put spyware on your child's phone you should only use a company you can trust and this isn't such a company.

Don't do it. I cancelled on the second day of "3-Day Free Trial" because the App didn't meet our needs. Even so, they charged me for full year of subscription and DO NOT refund. They told me that the reason of cancellation didn't meet their policy. WHAT??? I cancelled it during the FREE TRIAL. They are so dirty.

Customer Service is a joke. They can't fix the Family Time Map feature that is supposed to show the Child's location. They told me that there is no Support Phone # to talk with a Tech to fix it. I subscribed at the $30 discounted price...got charged the regular amount. now they wont fix it. Don't buy this APP.

I purchased in May 2018 using a coupon code for Mother's Day. I have been on chat no fewer than 14 times, totaling more than 5 hours of my time, not including that which was spent independently troubleshooting, uninstalling & reinstalling on 4 devices (parents and kids) due to regular glitches in screen time settings, sync settings, reports (texts, calls, geo, etc), and so much more. After requesting a refund in chat, I was told to email them. So I did. And I was told that because I used a coupon code, I was not eligible for a refund. So I left a review on the Google Play store stating how the app had almost constant issues and I was refused a refund. They told me once again to... Read More

The app's features were very poor and when I asked for my money back they refused and charged me an additional subscription amount.

I signed up for Family Time in March 21 2018 and paid $35 CAD for a subscription. Once I installed the app on my daughter's phone I immediately realized it was not the app we needed. On March 22 I emailed Family Time and indicated that the app did not meet our requirements and that I wanted a refund. It started off by them saying that a refund would be processed in a couple of weeks. Each month I would email them again and I would get the same run around. It is now Sept and I have send countless reminders and each time I've been told that they have forwarded my request to the billing team. Most recently on Sept 6th they said the refund would be processed in 24-48 hours. It's now Sept 9th... Read More
