Overall Rating: 3.4 / 5 (Very good)

WebWatcher is an excellent parental monitoring app, allowing parents to monitor a device discretely from a secure online account. It is compatible with all 5 key operating systems (Android, iOS, PC, Mac & Chromebook). WebWatcher's stand-out feature is its Alert Log tool. This feature scans all recorded data and uses proprietary filters to identify and highlight items deemed to be risky behavior. Parents receive real-time alerts of all identified risky behavior, which means they can focus their attention on only important items. All recorded data is available for review at any time, but it is up to the parent to decide how much they want to see. The company also offers 24/7 customer service via phone, e-mail and live chat, to ensure the best experience for their customers.

WebWatcher Features & Services

Features & Services - 4.8 / 5

WebWatcher records text and private messaging content, social media, web browser history and searches, photos, GPS locations visited and more. For Android, PC, Mac, and Chromebook, parents will be able to view data in real time. For iPhone, it sends information once a day to the parent's user interface. WebWatcher provides monitoring for multiple social media apps, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Kik, Viber, and, unlike competitor apps, dating website Tinder. The app uses algorithms that automatically scan children's digital activity for risky terms that can lead to problematic issues. This enhanced feature allows parents to focus on only relevant items and is especially useful for parents who do not have time to review all data or wish to respect privacy boundaries.

Scam of a company! It is not risk-free - they charge you immediately and you will not get your money back despite poor software and following all their "rules" for refund. Deceitful, misleading marketing. The software does not work as advertised. Buyer beware - you will lose your money!

It's a scam. Don't believe the risk free for 3 day policy. They advertise that, but then try to say it's non-refundable when you request a refund. Be prepared to spend $130 PER device and not get a refund even if you cancel right away.

Buyer Beware!! Use Apple's screentime. Its free and easy. Webwatcher will charge an arm and a leg for a complex web of different apps/programs you have to download in order get a report that you can use. Its antiquated and reactive. Again, apple has screentime and you already paid for it with your phone. Use it. Fro internet usage (blocking usage, not flitering) and if you have Xfinity, use Xfi. great for remotely shutting off access when its bedtime/mealtime etc. Nobody needs Webwatcher. If you must buy something like this then get ourpact and if you're iOS, then stick with screentime. Nobody needs Webwatcher. Once you sign up its hard to leave. Deleting your dusty FB profile is easier... Read More

This is a scam big time. I purchased this app to monitor and control my son's phone. First of all there is no controls except to turn all apps on or off. So time limits, app limts, etc. Then one of the main apps I wanted to monitor was snapchat. There are 2 things this app does with snapchat and the first is it will tell when it is used and who is sending messages. But to see the messges/photos you have to view screenshots. Well in the fine print it only gives you 1000 screenshots which seem like a lot. But even the home screen is screenshot. The screenshots are nice but when the 1000 was used up in less than a week, I was told I needed to buy more for $17! WTF. This is an... Read More

I too got scammed by this company. I wanted more information about the process but had to leave credit card information before I decided that I wanted to look at other choices. They refused to credit my card despite not using their service. Don't get burned!

I have had this app for a few months now and I think it works great. I am not very tech savvy but the user interface is fairly easy to understand and whenever I have question I chat with the Support agents. My questions are always answered and I learn a lot when I talk to them. I would definitely recommend this app.

This is a scam. DO NOT BUY. I signed up and immediately had issues with my iphone and tried repeatedly to get it fixed with their support people. After several days of the program never working, they informed me that the time to ask for a refund had passed and they were unable to offer a refund. It never worked. Total scam. When you run the I-mazing app and webwatcher app at the same time, it consumes your hard-drive memory and slows your machine to a crawl. Absolutely the worst company, worst product. Buyer beware. These guys are running a scam.

Buyer beware! I really wanted this software to work for me, but it didn't. I installed it on the phone following all of the (numerous) instructions and could not get it to record anything. I contacted tech support who had me change a bunch of other settings and reinstall the software multiple times. They said there was nothing they could do from their end since the software did not install correctly. Ok - no big deal. I know these things don't work in every situation. So I asked Awareness Technologies (owners of WebWatcher) to refund my money under the terms of their "Risk Free Trial." That is where it got difficult. They refused to give me a refund - repeatedly telling me... Read More

Buyer Beware – Deceiving Sales & Outright Horrible Overall Service I wanted to use the service for iPhone monitoring. The website indicates that it supports iPhones. To start a free trial you have to pay up front for the service that will continue after the trial. I had no problem doing that as I was planning to use it. I paid $129 for the full year. Once I made a payment a message indicated that I also have to install the software on my computer. The problem is that the software is only good for Windows or Mac based systems. That’s not what I have. I requested a refund, but they would not do it. They said that instructions do say that you have to have a PC or Mac to install... Read More

While this app does offer some good features, the technology in my opinion is a little outdates. In order to check up on what your kids have been doing online you have to back up your kids phones to your phones to your computers (using their desktop app and being on the same wifi). For us this presents a few problems . The first, have you ever tried to get the phone out of your kid's hands to do this? You have to wait until they are basically asleep (and hopefully they don't use their phone for an alarm clock). The SECOND major is issue is it doesn't allow is real time viewing of what your kids are doing on their phone. So if they have been up to "no good", you aren't going to see until... Read More
