BUYER BEWARE the "RISK FREE" trial is NOT risk free! Web-watcher advertises its software as one that allows you to "monitor any device from anywhere". I signed up for the "risk-free" trial to monitor my daughter's phone while she spends a semester studying in another state. I cancelled within an hour, after learning that our devices had to be connected to the same wifi network in order for me to receive monitoring reports. When I cancelled, I was not prompted to submit a refund request, but found out that I had to do so 5 days later upon inquiring about the status of my refund. This product is worthless so PLEASE don't waste your money on it because you WON'T get it back. I don't even know why this program was made because it doesn't do anything in real time so it's of no real benefit or value. How can it help with suicide prevention or texting/sexting if it is only updated once a day, if that? Seriously, there is some serious false advertising going on here. I started out with a lot of hope but was left a very unhappy customer!!
WORST PRODUCT/RUINED MY MACBOOK! BEWARE! YOU NEED TO READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY!! THESE PEOPLE DO NOT HONOR THEIR RISK FREE TRIAL AND DO NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY. I purchased this subscription and had trouble downloading on my MacBook Pro (2018 model). 3 days later, I had to call tech support to help because the download didn’t complete successfully. I thought it was my error. Tech support assisted remotely and it seemed to load successfully. We hung up and the backup data for the phone I need to monitor did not complete. My computer froze and shut off. I had to take it to a tech to service it. I requested a refund within the 3 day trial period and they sent a generic response, not at all... Read More
So far I am very disappointed in this program. It took over 2 hours to install, not 5 minutes as advertised and I had to get technical support. It doesn't show me who my kid follows/comments or gets DM's from on social media apps (only date and time accessed). It's not syncing remotely (I have to use a USB everytime!?!). And if you want a refund, forget it! They deny you when you use their online refund request (the only way they allow), if you call them they will "transfer you to the refund dept" but then you get a voicemail saying you can only request it online. And you have to do it within 72 hours of purchasing which isn't even enough time to get it all set up and determine if it's... Read More
Despite what the description above says, and the WebWatcher claim that "Parents or employers can see exactly what their children or employees are doing" on an iPhone, a chat with customer support revealed that no information from Snapchat is available through this monitoring. Thus it's usefulness is greatly limited for monitoring a child who primarily uses Snapchat.
This so called download does not do what is says it will do. I cancelled within the first 24 hours of download and the company refused to refund my money. Their "free trial" is a gimmick to take your money. The program did not do what it claimed it would and when I asked for a refund of my $39.95 payment for 3 months the company said they would only refund my money if the program did not work. It did not work, they will not refund my money and I paid $39.95 for 3 months for something I am not using, nor will use. A RIP OFF! DO NOT PURCHASE!
I registered on line with web watcher on free trial basis as advertised . next was credit card information , filled and paid 39.00. So far I did not encounter rules to cancel/refund trial . Next was How to use It requires the phone to be monitored be in my possession ( wonder how this is monitoring without letting the child know ) to connect to a computer etc . Unfortunately I am not in possession of the phone it is tied to my child at all times , so in the next 5 min I cancelled by email since there was no rep to chat with and I did not find a Tno to contact handy. I do not recommend this at all. Their refund policy and customer service is CRAP - as someone else said here. They took my money - I got no service and they wanted more money from me to provide the service I already paid for. BUYER BEWARE> worst company I have worked with ever!
Please be extremely careful before you use this company. In fact don't get this program unless you like throwing your money away...................literally throwing your money away. I had problems installing the software which appears to be a very antiquated compared to other services of this nature. Within a few hours of instillation I knew this software wasn't going to work. So I had to go through a virtual assistant (since you can never get a hold of live person) that said they had cancelled my subscription. Well, they still charged me and within the extremely "fine writing" i found out you can never get your money back. Please stay away for your own good.
Their refund policy is crap....I was charged twice for a "risk free trial" on a program that I will never use and instead of refunding either charge. I agree with Kara H and I hope this company goes belly up for it's poor business practices!!!! SCAM!!!!!
