Fetch is a leading provider of pet insurance in Canada and is a company dedicated to helping pet owners keep the costs of pet treatments under control. Fetch's standard plan covers new illnesses and accidents without restrictions for hereditary or congenital conditions. Summary

Fetch provides a good mix of coverage and benefit options that makes it a solid choice if you are looking for pet insurance in Canada. Filing a claim is easy and claims are typically reimbursed within a couple of days. The company also features a number of discount options that can help pet owners make pet insurance more affordable. AARP members, Walmart shoppers, and pet parents who adopt can save on premiums, subject to approval. Fetch pretty much covers all the standard items you'd be looking for in a pet insurance provider and more. The fact that older animals are not discriminated against is a big plus, and 24/7 support, comprehensive coverage including payment of the veterinary exam fees, and great customer service are all nothing to sneeze at as well.

I enrolled the Petplan in Oct, 2017. My monthly insurance policy is $83.2 at that time. Started from Oct, 2018, they increased my monthly policy by $21.70 without any reason. And they didn't give me any notification. When I asked them, they said it maybe in my Junk mail. I checked my junk mail box and didn't find it. I only had two small claims in the year. I made a claim on Oct 30, 2018 and I didn't receive any cheques until I talked to them on Dec 28, 2018. I received the cheque in Jan, 2019 finally. I made the second claim in Nov, 2018. They have not processed it yet. They said the doctor didn't send them any medical records. But my doctor sent us an email to confirm that the record... Read More

Petplan So I’ve had my 2 dogs with pet plan, part of fetch Insurance Services, LLC . , for almost 5 years. My dogs are now 12 and almost 8. I pay approx 50$ with a deductible of 400$ per condition for the youngest and 100$ with a 500$ deductible for the oldest. I had to get a higher deductible in order for the prices not to jump like crazy over the years. In June my oldest got diagnosed with cushings. I took him to my vet and a holistic vet and had spent about 2500$ at this point on care. I put my regular vet claims in during sept. And after a few weeks I checked and they said they hadn’t received the vets records. So I get Vet office to fax them again and told them I had not had him... Read More

Sorry to say I had to cancel my policy with this company. I submitted 2 claims and did not get a response from them. When pressed they asked for the moon. Even after I sent them information, never heard from them. Is there a company for pet insurance that is honest and worth the money paid into it????

Waste of money. I have sent in many claims and they continually find excuses not to pay. In four years they have refused all claims, even new treatments and I have not been reimbursed $1 in four years. My most recent 3 submissions they ask for the following. "Updated medical records and lab work results from ALL treating veterinarians that have seen dog from 12/2016 to 11/2018" They have this information as I spent many hours during the last refused claim obtaining this information. Very disappointed and feel like I have been taken advantage of. If 0 was an option that would be my rating.

They increased my dog police price by 50% after one year of coverage with no claims. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL.

I took out a Petplan policy on my dog last year when he was a puppy. I wasn't sure if it would be worthwhile and had serious doubts, but thought I would wait one year and reassess at renewal. I just received the policy renewal letter., and after zero claims, they want to increase my pet's premiums by over 20% in one year. The dog is not even 2 years old, and is not a purebred. The lady I spoke to when I called to cancel the renewal told me that since he is so young, this would be the absolute minimum yearly increase that I could expect. There is no information on the certain annual increases that you will see on these ridiculous policies anywhere on their website, but unless you are... Read More

Just learned that PetPlan charges $3/month for processing ON TOP of the already pricey premiums they raise annually. They just started putting this on the website, but having been accumulating the fees all along without telling their customers. Beware!

Pet Plan hardly paid for anything in the last 2 yrs. Had my dog in for his initial visit when I got him as asked. Clean bill of health. Later (before coverage) took him in for dandruff. My dog is a rescue so figured it was new subscribed vet food or that fact that he never really when outside and had some adjustment. A while after coverage kicked in took him in due to the fact that he started really scratching and chewing his feet. It ended up being allergies. They decided that since he had dandruff then he had allergies. Even though he didn't show signs at that time. The initial bill was 1200 and now I pay 300 ever 3-months for allergy serum and 68.00 month for anti itch needle. Then... Read More

Petplan is the worst. My dog got a UTI recently. Petplan said since I didn't get a UTI test done before, my dog's current UTI will not be covered. My questions is : Is someone suppose to get a costly test done for every probable disease before buying a plan? sounds ridiculous to me.
