I have been using healthy paws pet insurance for 9 years now for my little yorkie. She had 2 knee surgeries over the last two years. It would have cost me thousands of dollars. They paid almost the whole bill. I was so pleased with them I would highly recommend them for your pets!
I am very pleased with the manner is which Healthy Paws Pet Insurance has handled my claims. I have had a few health issues with my dog Stevie. I submitted my claims and within a week they were reviewed and I received reimbursement. I have recommended Healthy Paws to friends and will continue to do so in the future. They stand by their word and are very caring and compassionate about what you and your pet have gone through. A great company
I honestly don't even have the right words for how amazing this company has been for me and my dog, Karl. Karl had an issue with vomiting constantly and no one could figure out what was going wrong and $2,000 later found out he has a serious infection in his stomach. Healthy Paws sent us a check within a week of th doctor filing the claim and it just helped us immensely not to have to worry. They even sent an email to see how Karl was feeling. This is a very caring and honest company and I actually refer friends and family to them all the time. They are the best!
normally don't take the time to give feedback, but in this case, I needed to reach out and say thank you. If it wasn't for your service, the quality of life for both myself and Sampson would be null. I am forever grateful for the coverage that you have offered, along with the prompt and at times unexpectedly overwhelming turn around that you have given me. Sampson is doing much better and had it not been for your company, there is no way I would have been capable of keeping him in good health. Which coincidentally is a direct reflection of my personal health and well being. I can't send enough gratitude, but I hope that this is a start.
We have a 10 month old puppy who was diagnosed with juvenile cataracts, a genetic disease (many other pet insurance companies won't cover). Surgery on one eye was $5,000 and she'll have to have eye drops for the rest of her life. Her other eye is also under observation. Healthy Paws provided amazing customer service before and after claims, they even followed up to check on how everything was going. Reimbursement checks came within 2 weeks. Claims take less than 10 sec to submit - snap a photo of receipt with app and you're done! I have referred many friends already and highly recommend Healthy Paws. One of the best $34/month we spend!
We have had the pet insurance through Healthy Paws for almost 2 years now. And with a young healthy dog, you think...oh nothing will happen. But unfortunately we had 2 instances in the last year that made us thankful for the coverage. One our dog was attacked and required immediate care and then the major item was the tear of her ACL (aka TPLO procedure). It was almost a $5k procedure but Healthy Paws called in with a credit card to our provider for the balance that was covered. We were only out our deductible and coinsurance that we has agreed to on our policy.
The staff has been very helpful anytime that I have called and always a quick return call or email. Thanks Healthy Paws.
I genuinely couldn't be happier with Healthy Paws Insurance. The price is competitive, and my first request for a reimbursement went through without any problem. The process is simple (entirely online, no claim forms), and the response is rapid.
This company clearly misleads when stating the "exclusions." After collecting two years of premiums they failed to reimburse one cent (above the $250 deductible) when my dog was injured and required emergency surgery on New Year's Eve. They claimed the exam fee ($50) was actually $110--no explanation. And the subsequent trip to the vet to see if infection had occurred was also nothing but an exam--and though part of the same claim and same accident, was not covered and occurred in the subsequent year. Rubbish.
I plan on reporting them to our state's Attorney General.

In regards to your claim, it was covered by your policy according to the annual deductible and reimbursement level you chose at enrollment. As with any policy that includes an annual deductible, the deductible has to be met before any reimbursements are made. In your case, there were exam fees in your claims that are excluded by your policy. We make every effort to be transparent throughout our website, during the enrollment process and in the policy documents available to each client in their online Healthy Paws account regarding the limited exclusions of our policy. Those exclusions are pre-existing conditions, preventative/routine care and the office visit fee (veterinary exam fee). Anyone visiting our website can see this information on our “Benefits, Coverage and Exclusions” page. By making the office visit (vet exam, emergency exam fee, specialty or consultation) part of the pet parent's financial responsibility, it allows us to offer a complete accident and illness plan at an affordable monthly premium.
Healthy Paws have been absolutely amazing in their support of the health issues of our beloved furbaby. Not only is their turnaround super fast, they are also quick to respond to questions via email and on the phone. Our baby had major issues that suddenly came on requiring an MRI and other costly diagnostics, and they covered almost everything. The only thing not covered are the office/exam/consultation fees. The half a star off full score is not for excluding normal office visit fees but rather for excluding consultation fees during hospitalization since at this point in time we as puppy parents dont even get asked by the doctors if we are ok to have another specialist look at our... Healthy Paws made it very easy for me when it came time to submit my first claim. Their customer service representatives were always available to chat over the phone, and each step of the way was so simple (especially with their great Android app!).
When it came time to be reimbursed, all I had to do was snap photos of the invoice, submit them through the Android app, and a few days later I was notified a check was on its way.
I highly recommend using Healthy Paws for your pet. Without it, I would be facing approximately $8,000. in surgery bills for my dog. Instead, I'm only going to be paying about $1,000. Well worth it!
