EasyCare is a sound choice for automobile service plans. The company offers a broad array of service contract options, ranging from bare-bones plans that cover little more than the engine and drivetrain all the way up to plans that cover almost everything. The company began as a warranty management service to automobile manufacturers and has substantial experience in the field. It summarizes its contracts in both inclusive and exclusionary terms. It has a solid reputation with the BBB and has partnered with other reputable companies.

The list of covered systems and parts provided on the company's website is remarkably detailed. EasyCare's lower three plans are stated in inclusionary terms, i.e., lists of what is covered. Its top-tier plan, however, is stated in both inclusionary and exclusionary terms. That top-tier plan appears to be very thorough and to exclude only cosmetic items and a few specialty components.

Claims & Repairs

Claims & Repairs - 3.5 / 5

The company provides few details of its claim procedures. It states that repairs must be done at a "licensed" repair facility, an ambiguous requirement that consumers may wish to clarify before purchasing a service plan. It is also unclear from the company's publications whether customers have any obligation to maintain a vehicle maintenance log or other documentation.

Well first I want to say there are 26 reviews on here, 20 are not favorable to EASYCARE! Now there are 21 unfavorable reviews. Our 2015 Ford Fusion went CRAZY when we tried to start it, horn started honking, lights started flashing, some kind of clicking noise and message said to put car in park, it was in park! All this would not stop! Called the dealership was told to have it towed in. Called a towing company, they were backed up it would be awhile. Hours later the towing co called and was on its way, he never had this experience before. the next day the mechanic calls and tells us that is was the battery sensor and now it needed a new battery. Easycare said they would not pay... Read More

Purchased a new $500k RV and spent $10k on 7-year extended warranty. Seems the warranty starts from day-1 (not after the factory 1 year warranty). So, I basically lose a year right off the top. First minor claim was an electrical short. Difficult to find. Service tech spent several hours and billed $800. E/C thinks the fix is only $270, so minute deductible $250 they send a $20 check. I pay the $780 difference. The kicker is I get the $20 check in mail. Try to deposit on mobile app... nope. Try to deposit at local ATM branch office... nope. Now I'll try visiting a bank teller just to deposit $20! AAGH. Never again.

I have been living in an RV for two years because of a hurricane. I don't know what I would have done without this warranty company. They have covered almost everything and I am satisfied with my experience. They have exceeded my expectations.

I am pursuing action within my state with consumer protections and with the dealer who sold this policy, and if necessary with an attorney. The used car I purchased the policy for is burning oil. Easy Care determined the issue is not covered because of the presence of carbon on the cylinders........let that sink in....... a combustion engine with carbon....... This company is a scam. The very reason you pay for an extended warranty is to cover big ticket, engine issues. I will not let his rest or let them steamroll over me. Buyer beware.....they will find anything they can to exonerate themselves from covering the very issues they claim they will cover.

I purchased an Easy Care plan when I bought the car new to cover the rims. Now that I need them after the dealership technicians scratched the rims of my car Easy Care states that is not covered by the warranty. The warranty only cover if the rim is scraped agains a curb. Don't buy their plan. I have been faithful making payments monthly and now that I need them they don't respond.

I completely regret purchasing your coverage from my car dealer. Your rejected my small $100 claim on a technicality. Don't get ripped off with this product.

Bought vehicle from dealer was told the EasyCare warranty was bumper to bumper 7 year 100000 mile warranty. The "sealed" race track lighting panel on the lift back leaked and the lower right section burned out. 4 year old vehicle. EasyCare told me that since water got through the sealed unit and caused the failure, it wasn't covered. Wouldn't accept the argument that the failure and the sealed unit allowed water to Pentwater causing the failure. Consumer always gets the short end of the stick. Extra insurance plans are not worth the costs. Waste of money! Roger E.

2017 Nissan Frontier( ONLY 3 YEARS OLD ) power steering gave out. took it to dealer this morning, they found power steering line corroded to the steering rack. easy care refused to pay for it. Nissan excpects me to pay $2,200 for the repair. SCAM!!! My frontier is well kept. Stay away from Nissan for making their vehicle easily corroded from snow and salts stay away from Easy care , so easy for them to take your money while easily refuses to pay as promised.

All was great once a good mechanic diagnosed the problem. While vehicle was at a dealer, life was a nightmare. Transmission replaced, no problems. Thanks!!#
