AFC Home Club’s hybrid policies cover many of the same systems and appliances as its competitors.

Notwithstanding the lack of included specialty items, a good benefit is their user friendly, every-item service cap of $1,500-$2,000. HVAC systems are subject to no coverage caps, which is a great addition for the company.

AFC Home Club only covers issues that arise after they begin providing service. Exclusions covered in the below link refer to AFC's Platinum plan, which is the most comprehensive.

Exclusions in other plans will be the same as Platinum covers all items one might find in other plans.

In addition to a personalized quote calculator and sample contract available on the website, a 30-day refund policy is guaranteed, as is a pro-rated version after that period.

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel the policy any time for any reason for a pro-rated refund. If AFC cancels a customer for non-payment, though, no refund is due.

New members may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid membership. After 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid membership fee, less any claims paid or time used in membership by CRAST, and a $75.00 cancellation fee.

AFC Home Club's service fees of $75, $100, and $125 keeps them competitive with comparable companies in the industry. Its 30 day waiting period is fairly standard.

AFC allows customers to work with out-of-network contractors of their choosing.

However, they do have to be licensed, bonded and insured. AFC only requires maintenance on HVAC systems in the first year of the contact.

Moreover, if a claim is filed before the 30-day waiting period has expired, the maximum payout amount is limited to $150.

AFC is by far the best home warranty I have ever had. I have owned several properties in the last 20 years as investments and my own homes. Each one I always get a warranty. I have been with a total of 3 different companies in 20 years. I got AFC in 2015 and have never looked back. Their customer service people answer the phone within minutes, my last home warranty was ok but I would be on hold for 30 minutes just to talk to someone. AFC lets me tell them who I want to use if I am busy and don't know anyone they will find a technician for me quickly. I have recommended them to all my colleagues.

I wasn't crazy about the warranty that we had. I looked under warranty and I read a blurb. I then went into AFC Home Club's webpage and they seemed good. So I got them. Submitting a claim with them hasn't been difficult. They are very responsive and there's no real delay. That gives them a really good mark. You call, you get a number, they call you back and ask you what's happening. Then they assign you to someone, and that person calls you the next day and makes an appointment. Also, they have very good service people who come out. I've been very impressed with the last few contractors we had. They were nice and very professional and they knew what they were doing.

This home warranty company is a classic case. I paid $495 to cover what I thought was all of my major utilities and appliances for one year. However, when I contacted AFC on 3 different occasions to fix a utility or appliance that was listed on under my "coverages," I was told that the specific issue fell outside of the warranty company's purview each time. And I am not talking about exorbitantly expensive or strange issues. For instance, more recently I had plumbing issue where I needed my drain line snaked. I looked up the top 10 consumer warranty companies, read several articles and looked at reviews, and America's First Choice Home Club came out on top, price- and service-wise. I then spoke with them and was able to obtain a military discount as well, which made it even more affordable for the family. I was able to get my whole house covered for five hundred bucks. It was a good deal and then when it was time to renew, the gentleman I had spoken to even sent me an email saying, “Hey, it’s time for renewal and I wanna make sure that you continue to get the discount that I promised you the first time for the military. I bought two rental houses and two warranties to go with it. Well, 3 weeks later I need an AC work. They never respond for two days when my renter has no AC and it's 107 degree out. Finally, I got threw. They wanted the latest AC report. "Really, I just purchased the house." I forward them my home inspection report. After another two days of my renters enduring 105-108 degrees, they told me the Goodman had a 10 year warranty and wouldn't service it. But, it took 4 days to have them come to that conclusion. I have home warranties in my other home and I felt they're good protection as you get older because you never realize that sometimes, you get hit, for example, $2,000. And if you get a good warranty program, it's going to at least try to ease the burden a little bit. When I submitted a claim with America's 1st Choice Home Club, it was pretty decent. The woman who handled my claim told me that I didn't have microwave protection and that was what I wanted. I said I got their best plan and I even got the ice cube thing on a refrigerator. I purchased home protection with AFC for several rental properties that I own in California. We had an entire week of triple digit temperature last summer and the AC on one of the homes stopped working. when I called the company, their answering machine took my message telling me that someone will call me back within 24 hours. They called after three days and demanded maintenance records for the unit before they can schedule any repair. I called a local AC repair guy to take care of the problem immediately and called the AFC agent to call me back and cancel my policies. In order for me to put in a service request and get reimbursed, I had to provide invoices that my A/C unit was regularly serviced. The part that needed to be replaced on my unit was considered a wear and tear part and would eventually need to be replaced regardless of how well my unit was maintained. DO NOT go with this company. There are better companies that this that don't require the stipulations AFC Home Club requires. Move on to the next!

Horrible service and waste of money. Don't waste your hard earned money and time. Was enrolled 7 months before my first request and simply got run around. They never call back and after 2 days of being on hold and no action on request, I had enough. I was sold a con job, don't make same mistake.

Do not waste your time with this company. Every time you call and try to get something to fix there is another rule that they do not do something.
