Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

The technician communicated what time he would be coming the day before and came at exactly that time, with a warning call before he arrived. He worked swiftly and efficiently to get my dryer back working and got it done in no time. Very professional.

The 2nd person helped a lot about my concerns . The 1st customer service completely messed up my plumbing issues. The 1st person has poor listening skills and did not even really understand my concerns . The 2nd customer service corrected it . Ies a concern a it’s language barrier and depth of understanding. I am very disappointed

We got this as we are getting older and can't do like we used to people that we talked to check on price were very nice and helpful would recommend them to all veterans take advantage of this

The appointment was scheduled for 10-22-23 between 11am and 3pm which was a sunday. When no one showed up I called and was told they don't work on sundays. So why was it scheduled that way? Tech came on monday and did the work.

When I found Choice Home Warranty listed as one that now serves California, I called for the particulars. I was lucky to have John Rosario answer my call. He is extremely knowledgeable about the company and the policies and explains them thoroughly. He is extraordinarily efficient. His customer service is exemplary. These traits are so unusual in this day and age. He is eager to ensure that you know you can call him anytime. I'm impressed with the compassion the people I spoke to. They explained the process pretty well, I only wish that I was allowed to contact the repair company myself because we list a lot of meats and vegetables when our refrigerator and freeze went down but over all I'm pretty satisfied.
