Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

An appointment was made by Choice for a plumber , flawless to come to my house on Wednesday Oct. 11th . I took the day off, no pay. Upon contacting the plumber as per phone number listed on email, they said they weren’t coming after I already was waiting a half a day. They lied and blamed Choice that they were just contacted prior to my call. I spoke to a supervisor from Choice . After investigation, she apologized that they couldn’t keep the appointment. They would reschedule the next day which I wasn’t about to take off again. I did not want anything to do with them since they cared less that I lost a day . I DO NOT highly recommend CHOICE Home warranty Insurance company. They are NOT Honesty for the coverages: See below details that I had a bad experience with them. I have a home owner insurance with CHOICE which is covered in Airconditioning and Heating - Total Service Package provided by Choice Home Warranty (CHW) since 08/06/2023. On 09/09/2023, I claimed the residential air-conditioning problem and requested the service to Choice Home Warranty. On 09/19/2023, Their vendor - HVAC technician from Climatrol Heating & Air Cond Service stopped by my place and checked the diagnosis and they found two problems to fix: 1. The technician seemed very knowledgeable in his field. I think die to having a home warranty there are delays in getting the services I need, so any frustrations I am dealing with are die to the choice home warranty people and not with the technician. As a result my problem is still not resolved.
