Choice Home Warranty is a New Jersey-based company founded in 2008 which offers services contracts. Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Each plan also offers optional coverage for septic systems, pools /spas, well pumps, sump pumps, central vacuuming systems, limited roof leaks, second refrigerators, and standalone freezers.

Once again CHW won't pay. I had a pipe leak that ruined my wall before it was discovered. The leak was fixed (a 10 minute fix that probably didn't cost much more than my service fee), but the wall is left with a large hole and I'm apparently on my own to repair that. All the damage was caused by the leak and I believe all the damage should be fixed.
On a positive note, the plumber did come out immediately, within the hour, to fix. So my water was not shut off for long. He did a great job.
This was my first experience with Choice, and I’m not sure if it was a positive one. First of all the technician was outstanding when he got here he diagnosed and fixed the problem within the reasonable amount of time. The concern that I have was establishing and getting the technician here, This was scheduled without any input from me and I had to cancel one time because the first cancellation did not work to our schedule and we were not notified. Again this happened where we were not notified on our second schedule for 7 to 11 AM and the technician has not shown by about 11 o’clock . Responsive, reliable, Identified the problem with my appliance, attempted to repair. Unable to repair the appliance Choice replaced the appliance at a prorated cost. Very fair.
The technician was professional and extremely polite. He explained everything that was wrong with the AC.
When I bought the warrantee, your rep never mentioned that if an appliance had to be replaced that I would have to pay for installation or that I would have to makeup the difference between the cost of the new appliance and the amount you would pay. My previous provider actually replaced an appliance as advertised. This experience seems to have distorted the replacement concept
The gentleman they sent worked with us on when to come out and was knowable and explain what was wrong and what he did too. If something else goes wrong, we will ask for him.
Great customer service and on time. I had two technicians who got the job done and was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done
Companies that you use are small and do not communicate well. I rescheduled an original appointment and the guy didn’t show up or call. I finally called after the end of the 4th hour and we had to reschedule again. This was for a water heater so another night of cold showers.
The technician was prompt, communicated well. He addressed the peiblem promptly and installed new fans in less than one hour
I was very happy with the capable person Choice sent to fix our fridge!!
