Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Luis was fantastic with us. Professional, friendly, took the time to get to know us as a household, was very thorough and informative, gave us all our options for repairs and service. After calling Choice Home Warranty about a problem with my refrigerator, I received a call from a repairman in less than a half hour. I was scheduled at that time and my fridge was fixed in a matter of days!

when I got this home warrant was told that if a appliance coold not be fix they would replace it or give you one of the next equal value , Found out in the contract when my stove was not able to be fixed that there was a clause I was unaware of the they would give you a gift card money amount . For my stove i was offered $255 which was a insult . I was unhappy so they sent me to a case manage where i was offer 400 than later 455 . I advised them that my stove had steam , self clean , bake, slow cook , warm that did not matter . she told me to look in lowes 400-500 dollars but none had self clean after not having a stove from thanksgiving till after christmas trying to get higher ups to... Choice Home Warranty has lied and not completed services since I signed up in Nov 2023. I had to call weeks later and multiple times to be provided copy of my policy. Service Fee was wrong and I had to request this be correct minimum of 5x. I requested repair for toilet leaking and whole house fan, which they verbally reported they cover (many reps stated whole house fan and attic fan are interchangeable terminology). They approved of me locating AC repair to determine what needed to be repaired on whole house fan. I live in a rural area that is 50 miles or more from city of 30,000 people or more. I have had a service contract with CHW since March, 2022. My first service request was in April, 2022 for an AC/Heat Pump failure. CHW could not find a contractor to do the repair within 4 hours and it was a hot day in Central Florida. I call the company that installed the unit about 7 years previously. They came and repaired the unit and the part was still under warranty and did not cost me. I paid the local service man for a service call and I applied for reimbursement with CHW and the paid for the service call. Second Request was in July, 2022 for our range oven not working.
