LHG offers customers three primary types of coverage plans: Appliance Guard, Systems Guard, and Total Home Guard. They will also provide completely customizable coverage upon request. With an in-house underwriting team, the company can add or subtract coverage items to tailor the policy to cover their customers’ specific wants and needs. For example, if you don’t have a microwave in the home, or you have two refrigerators, they can make all the necessary changes to get you the coverage you require.

Add-ons include items such as pools and spas, sump pumps, central vacuums, well pumps, septic system pumping, stand-alone freezers, re-keying services, gutter cleaning services, and secondary refrigerators.

Some items may have different cost caps for repairs done to them or for full replacements. Overall, Liberty Home Guard's plans are solid, covering a wide variety of home systems and appliances.

Liberty Home Guard sells month-to-month, annual, and multi-year home warranty policies. Plans start at less than $1 per day—and depending on the current promotion, costs can be even lower. Liberty Home Guard’s service call fees range anywhere from $60 to $125, depending on the type of plan. The company offers discounts for its multi-year policies, providing the greatest value to consumers. Consumers interested in getting a sample quote or applying for a policy can do so on the company's website. Liberty Home Guard does not require consumers to have a home inspection in order to finalize contracts.

Contracts canceled within the first 30-days of the policy are eligible for a full refund. Should a consumer require optional add-ons, LHG will send the consumer a customized contract that includes optional add-on language, and the consumer has 30 days to review that language at no cost as well. In other words, all customers are entitled to a full money-back guarantee during that 30-day period.

Cancellation Policy

Liberty Home Guard customers may cancel their warranty policy at any time.

If canceled between day 31 and day 60 of the policy, the company will refund the full Agreement Cost, minus a $50 cancellation fee and the cost of any claims paid.

If canceled after the first 30 days from the effective date of the policy, the company will refund a prorated refund of the Agreement Cost based on the number of months remaining on the term of the agreement, minus the same cancellation fee of $50 and the cost of any claims paid.

Customers must wait 30 days after enrolling before submitting support claims. However, Liberty Home Guard will project management any issue for its customers, even on day one of enrollment. Project management entitles users to Liberty Home Guard's wholesale discounts on parts, appliances, and labor, and it enables users to have Liberty source their in-network technicians to perform repairs. Also, if a customer has an existing policy with coverage expiring in less than 30 days from the purchase date, Liberty Home Guard will expedite the start date of coverage to overlap with prior coverage.

All service provided by said contractors has a 60-day workmanship guarantee. If the same malfunction happens within that timeframe, customers can file a claim in order to repair or replace the damaged item.

Claims may be filed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

One of the things I love about Liberty is their range of plans and services. I was able to choose a plan that exactly fit my budget and covered the specific appliances and systems I needed. And even though I've had several claims over the past year, I've never had any issues with those claims being denied.

Our HVAC unit stopped working, and we thought it was going to be unaffordably expensive and a huge headache. Thankfully, the Liberty agents are great, always incredibly helpful, and they coordinated everything smoothly. The repairman who came out was knowledgeable and even though he said it couldn’t be repaired and that we had replace it, we actually saved about $2,000 through Liberty on the replacement. So after everything was done, we only spent around $1,000 on a brand new HVAC unit.

I placed a claim just yesterday through their app and Jason contacted me back immediately to see if he could reroute the repairman to my house in the next thirty minutes as he was just wrapping up a job in my area. The repairman was able to fix the issue in that visit. In summary, I submitted a claim on their portal/app. 30-45 minutes later a repairman was not only at my house but also actively fixing the issue. Within two hours my heating was back up and running. I was floored with the speed of service. We are beyond ecstatic with Liberty Home Guard so far.

Let me tell you, me and my family are thankful we had a policy with Liberty Home Guard this winter. Our water heater broke, and not only did they have it replaced in two days, they upgraded our water heater to a Navien system.Over the course of having the policy, we’ve saved so much money on these issues, I plan to renew for the rest of my life. Big shout out to them for their outstanding service!

We had an issue with our central heating system last week. I filed a claim through the Liberty app and the next day a technician named Chris was at my home. He was able to identify the problem but unfortunately deemed the unit irreparable. Fortunately, Liberty maxed out the coverage and we saved $2,800 in the process. It took about a week to complete the replacement, which we were ok with. The savings are what impressed me most as we already made our money back on our 5 year policy with Liberty, and then some.

Very capable team. They turn around service super fast and are not afraid to cover claims–they trust and value their customers, which unfortunately can be a rarity in this industry. As long as Liberty plans to keep this up, I plan to continue to be a customer of theirs and to continue to renew my policy with them.

Our water heater broke and I called Liberty as soon as I realized there was an issue. Peter was very helpful with processing our claim and needs. The service provider arrived within a one day window. I’m impressed with how coordinated everyone seems to be. From Peter to the service provider and the multiple updates I received throughout the claim, it was clear they were all on the same page.
