LHG offers customers three primary types of coverage plans: Appliance Guard, Systems Guard, and Total Home Guard. They will also provide completely customizable coverage upon request. With an in-house underwriting team, the company can add or subtract coverage items to tailor the policy to cover their customers’ specific wants and needs. For example, if you don’t have a microwave in the home, or you have two refrigerators, they can make all the necessary changes to get you the coverage you require.

Add-ons include items such as pools and spas, sump pumps, central vacuums, well pumps, septic system pumping, stand-alone freezers, re-keying services, gutter cleaning services, and secondary refrigerators.

Some items may have different cost caps for repairs done to them or for full replacements. Overall, Liberty Home Guard's plans are solid, covering a wide variety of home systems and appliances.

Liberty Home Guard sells month-to-month, annual, and multi-year home warranty policies. Plans start at less than $1 per day—and depending on the current promotion, costs can be even lower. Liberty Home Guard’s service call fees range anywhere from $60 to $125, depending on the type of plan. The company offers discounts for its multi-year policies, providing the greatest value to consumers. Consumers interested in getting a sample quote or applying for a policy can do so on the company's website. Liberty Home Guard does not require consumers to have a home inspection in order to finalize contracts.

Contracts canceled within the first 30-days of the policy are eligible for a full refund. Should a consumer require optional add-ons, LHG will send the consumer a customized contract that includes optional add-on language, and the consumer has 30 days to review that language at no cost as well. In other words, all customers are entitled to a full money-back guarantee during that 30-day period.

Cancellation Policy

Liberty Home Guard customers may cancel their warranty policy at any time.

If canceled between day 31 and day 60 of the policy, the company will refund the full Agreement Cost, minus a $50 cancellation fee and the cost of any claims paid.

If canceled after the first 30 days from the effective date of the policy, the company will refund a prorated refund of the Agreement Cost based on the number of months remaining on the term of the agreement, minus the same cancellation fee of $50 and the cost of any claims paid.

Customers must wait 30 days after enrolling before submitting support claims. However, Liberty Home Guard will project management any issue for its customers, even on day one of enrollment. Project management entitles users to Liberty Home Guard's wholesale discounts on parts, appliances, and labor, and it enables users to have Liberty source their in-network technicians to perform repairs. Also, if a customer has an existing policy with coverage expiring in less than 30 days from the purchase date, Liberty Home Guard will expedite the start date of coverage to overlap with prior coverage.

All service provided by said contractors has a 60-day workmanship guarantee. If the same malfunction happens within that timeframe, customers can file a claim in order to repair or replace the damaged item.

Claims may be filed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I have a Kenmore professional elite double oven. It cost over 1400 dollars 8 years ago new. The circuit board to the top oven went out. Its 650 dollars to get it repaired. (350 circuit board, 300 labor). It’s a really nice double oven my wife and I spent a long time picking out - so they tell me they suggest I get a new one and will send me a link to a site where they get "40% retail" - more likely, they get a kickback. In any case, they will only pay 350 dollars (what they deem the current oven is worth) for the repair or the new oven ... which is a fraction of the cost of a new oven. And they arbitrarily put a 350 value on the oven when BOTH ovens are working hell I could get 350... Read More

Derek was really helpful on my most recent claim. I submitted a claim through their portal because the pipe beneath my kitchen sink broke I got a follow up call from Derek who knew the details about my home and even the last claim I submitted, which was also related to our plumbing systems. And, thanks to his efforts, he was able to get someone to my house that same day! The plumber took care of the issue then and there. And left the work area clean. Nice service and totally worth it!

So far, I'm really pleased with the service I've received. The worker LHG sent was on time, efficient, and described what he discovered and the reasons why it needed to be replaced. He came back the next day and replaced our water heater. Our new water heater is working great. Thank you so much.

Finally, a home warranty company with customer service who can actually get things done. I filed a claim on their website and received a call from Lauren five minutes later. She went over the details of the issue with me and asked me a few questions about the issue. She even offered to help me troubleshoot the issue over the phone, which unfortunately did not work. The electrician arrived on time and was able to fix the power issue then and there.

Liberty Home Guard has done a good job using common sense which is something I think most home warranty companies lack. When our microwave broke, Liberty just had it replaced instead of dealing with the cost, time, and complication of sending out a repairman to look at it. They knew our microwave was super old and it was not even worth getting looked at. I hope for future claims they use the same level of intelligence when servicing us.!

Our oven repair was done in less than 5 hours after filing our claim. The tech who came our way was punctual and attentive. So far, after one claim we are definitely satisfied. We plan to update this review if anything changes in the future.

I have found no fault in their team. They’ve all so far been polite, professional, with a calm demeanor and promptly get contractors out. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a higher level of service instead of the other discount providers. So far, even though they are a bit on the higher end of price, they’ve been worth every cent.

This company is very misleading. They sell you a policy with a promise and when you file a claim they don’t honor it. Don’t use them. They do not replace unfixable appliances. They offer a tiny credit that wouldn’t buy an appliance but it has to be applied to an appliance you purchase from them. Scam. Avoid. Bad customer service.
