Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

TERRIBLE CISTOMER SERVICE!! I called on a Thursday for my A/C not cooling my house. A technician comes out on Friday at noon to diagnose the issue. He never sends the diagnosis back to Select. It is now Monday morning and I'm having to call Select to get the status of my claim. They say they are waiting on the diagnosis and will review and make a determination within 24-48 hrs. In the meantime, its pushing 95-100 degrees where I live, the 4th of July is coming up in 2 days and by the time they come to do anything, it will have been 2 weeks before my A/C gets fixed. I'm sure glad I didn't have a roof leak.

I am a new customer and my first claim is not going very well. Apparently SHW can't locate a technician in my area and I will have to hire them myself and then get reimbursed. This was not what I had in mind when I signed up at all as I didn't want to have to lay out a ton of money for repairs. Then - my claim will have to go into review in order to get reimbursed. IF APPROVED, I will then get my money back a month later. What happens if it's not approved? That's not what I signed up for. This is my first claim that seems to be taking forever to get resolved. BEWARE! I feel a misrepresentation by sales and website. They claim they will repair or replace - NOT TRUE. Clause 8 of their agreement says they only have to pay the depreciated value so if repairs equal what they claim is the value, you lose. They refuse to provide/disclose repair estimates, refuse to disclose the factors in determining depreciated value (replacement cost, depreciation percentage etc.) and they use manufacturing date for the age rather than date put into service. I have a GE Monogram wall oven, new ones cost $3,650 to $4,650 they offered me $150. The service company they sent just looked at the oven and let us describe the problems and left. I called when my AC unit didnt start. They said they would contact me withing 24 to 48 hours. They did but said they were so busy that I could find someone else to come and look at my unit. I bought this service so I wouldn't have to do that. They are very friendly but lacking in service.

They were very gracious with me. They offered to pay out for a new garbage disposal. I just waited 30 days and in the mail it would come. I am satisfied to say the least that i got in in a month as promised.

Save your money! Do not use this company for your warranty needs! They do not cover what they say they cover. It's a scam to get your money! They would not fix the Air conditioner everything was 48 hours. I called a hvac company who had to replace the unit. I sent over the receipt, the photos, and the repairman called them still fighting with them to cover my compressor. My rating for this company in customer service is a ZERO, rating for handling claims is a ZERO my overall rating is a ZERO! about 2 months later I am still fighting to get the money for a compressor. As for warranty services Select is one of the bet. They are my third company in 4 years and this time I am going to stick with them. How great is has been to never have issues with claim requests and processing. The other were never this easy to work with.
