Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Hopeless Warrenty I have ever had in my 20 years of homeowner carrier. They always offer some amount after reviewing the diagnosis report and offer $100-200 amount to fix the issue. Not sure what is the point going to them. They are good to take care small issues, but definitely not worth investing on them for major appliances.

Select Home Warranty ask me to find a AC company to repair my AC unit when they couldn't then refused to honor the repair bill this after we waited for 14 days in the high 90's deg heat in Oklahoma in the middle of June 2022. If there was a Rating below one star then they would get a -5 stars. I am a family in our 80's and I have recently had a heart attact and this they knew it

Please do not buy Select Home Warranty. My washer was 5 years old and unrepairable by technician diagnosis Warranty paid me $ 185 when the cost was $685.

Can not speak to anyone on disputes and all contract-covered items are only covered under unique wording not understood by the buyer. Need a lawyer to understand. I would not recommend SLW to my worst enemy!!!!!!!

Lucas smart is horrible his customer service skills are horrible I just got this service and he wasted no time being an ass whole. I asked for my policy information and he told me he would get it to me when he had time and I asked for his supervisor information and he told me no I couldn’t have his information I asked to speak with him and he told me no lol I’m actually brought back by his rude demeanor and My policy is still in the 30 day frame and want to cancel my policy and go else where because it’s no way I’m selling to deal with his disrespect. Don’t go with this company The customer service is absolutely horrible LUCAS SMART is the worst.

They will lie to you just to sell the policy and will not entertain claims when you file one! This guy Lucas smart promised me that the policy will kick in right away and there will be no waiting period- but guess what they later didn’t except the claim… read the fine prints carefully and have them mention everything in writing! Also, note that they don’t cover replacement costs beyond certain amount - for me it’s a washer and they cover only until $500 — where in the world would you find a washer for $500 ! Do yourself a favor and work with some other companies out there !

Very dissatisfied with Select. We chose them last year when I prior policy expired. Our water heater sprung a leak and was unrepairable necessitating a new one. They refused to compromise with one on getting a new one. We did not expect them to pay for it entirely. They indicated that they don't pay for leaks. Leaks are the failure that are most likely to happen with water heaters. As luck would have it, our policy is due for a renewal in about 2 weeks and they keep calling asking us to renew. Needless to say we will not be doing that and will be giving them bad rating on consumer protection sites.

Absolutely the worst. I had another company for over 10 years and left as the vendors they used were lacking. I paid this company for THREE YEARS in advance for my property AND my rental property. WHAT A BAD DESISION. I made one claim for my less that 10 year old refrigerator and the condenser was broke. They refused to fix it and offered me $200 to replace the unit. When I asked where and how they came up with that number, they refused to elaborate. My washer and dryer just stopped working, they want TWO service fees for ONE technician to come out. I total agree with all the terrible comments about Select Home Warranty. The customer service is really bad. They can never find anyone in our area to meet their criteria to work on anything because no one wants to work with them. In frustration, you get what's broken fixed out of your pocket because you need it. They are totally worthless and don't care. Do not do business with them.
