Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Before I bought my house I looked up a good warranty company and after speaking with SHW I was sure they would be a good company. This month I completed my 4th claim and I can attest to the excellent business plans they have.

I am very happy with how Select treated me as a new customer. They started my claim a few days before my 30 days was met so that I could have a technician on the 30th day. That is really caring about a new customer!

i give a lot of credit to Select Warranty. My problem ballooned into a very large problem costing thousands of dollars and they paid for it all! My central heating and air unit completely broke down and they had to bring in three separate companies to try to fix it. It was not salvageable and they recommended replacement. The replacement took a week and was done better than the original!

Select was like a super hero for me. They gave me uncanny service by helping remove my old refridgerator and replacing it with a new one in one weeks time. Out of my pocket was just $50 for a service call fee.

I am exceptionally pleased with customer service. I was having a problem with appointments and Jerry came in and worked with me and held my hand the whole way through. Because of him and the final work I am very satisfied.

I would give it less than 1 star if I could. they are awlful. our refrigerator stop cooling and they sent a repair person that misdiagnosed the problem, saiying it was lack of freon. It was not. The defrost system was not working properly and froze the coils not allowing the freon to flow. We had to defrost the refrigerator manually for 9 months. They finally sent another tech who diagnosed it properly, with a repair cost of $400 the company offered to pay $150. towards our GE Profile refrigerator repair. I have filed a formal complaint with BBB and Consumers. DO NOT rely on their warranty, they weisel their way out of covering a repair. Aren't warranty companies supposed to cover... Read More

I was declined full coverage to repair my furnace issue, because as SHW stated, we could not provide maintenance records for the past 3 years. How could I provide 3 years of maintenance when i have been living in the house for only 7 months. I keep repeating that i have no way of providing such records as this is a new policy for a new house, but still the claims rep. is providing me the same answer. I was even reassured when I was purchasing my warranty, that since we are moving into the house now, a service inspection showing everything is in working condition would suffice, and i provided as such both at the start of my policy and also as part of my claim procedure as requested, but...
