Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

This is my second claim and this one was much better than the first. The technician was on time and consulted me with all the repairs he would do and then implemented them. Excellent all around.

From start to finish my claim on my central heat went great. My first call with Select took 20 minutes outlining my claim. I got a second call back giving me an appointment. The appointment tech was on time and had all the parts ready and kept a clean work space. Very good warranty company.

I have had a few claims. One claim was for a dishwasher & that was covered. The garbage disposal I had to purchase a new one and recieved $75 towards the $100 purchase. I also had to pay out of pocket for $150 out of pocket for someone to install it. I bought a new washing machine and received $100 toward the $600 new machine.

I have SHW on multiple of my buildings and never filed a claim in 11 months. The first time I call for repairs, the technician came two days later and said he can fix the problem, but he will need prior authorization from SHW. Another 2 days later, I am still waiting for them to fix the problem. When I called SHW to find out when they would send the technician back to finish the job, they tell me that I they need pictures and records for 3 years. If this is their practice, it should be something they should warn customers about before taking their money. There are too many other warranty companies to choose from rather than pick Select Home Warranty. The ice machine appears to be malfunctioning and after making a claim we were told it is not covered by the warranty yet is one of the optional coverages we selected. They could have sent a technician to make an assessment but yet the refused to do so. What is the purpose of the warranty if Select Home Warranty does not stand behind the insurance. Buyer Beware!! Stay away from this company!

I paid $1050 for a 3-year contract of home warranty service on 5/29/18. On 7/27/18, I was promised $225 for the repair or replacement of my clothes dryer. That amount of money would neither repair or replace it, but I sent the receipt in any way by email. I have never received my money. On 8/13/18, I contacted their customer service and asked that my contract be canceled and the $1050 be refunded. They said they would give the refund but did not. After my Better Business Bureau complaint, they eventually paid $891.67 and ended the contract. This is theft!
