Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Select Home Warranty mislead you into believing that they will take care of things when something goes wrong. In reality they make you pay for a technician to come out and look at the equipment and in case of repairs or replacement the charges have to be borne by you. The service charge is the same without a warranty so what does the warranty cover? nothing. I paid $1000 for a 3 yr warranty and when my water heater started taking a little longer to heat up the water they sent out a technician who had to be paid the service charge of $60 and all that he did was ask how old the heater was and told us it is better to replace it. I put a claim in on Wednesday night due to my air conditioner not cooling my home. I was not sure it went through so I sent an email to sales. Thursday afternoon I had not heard from anyone so I called them. I gave him all my information and he said I would get an email of who I need to contact to get my air fixed. It is 4:00 on Friday I still have not received anything.l and I never got a response from sales. Poor customer service. I will use someone else when my warranty is up next year.

Select Home Warranty provided me great services, including a simple repair to my A/C last summer. SHW sent my claim to the most qualified contractor out there. The contractor quickly identified the problem, he politely told me that he would order a part needed for replacement and that his office would call me to schedule installation. He came back the next day and replaced the needed part to repair my A/C. They made my summer.

Excellent! That is the only word that I can think of with Select Home Warranty. They maybe new in the industry, just six years but they have been very competitive in giving a better service to their consumers. Their service is spotless; they answer their phones promptly with a smile on their voices. They send out the most skillful repairman promptly and they are so easy to work with. It is a hassle free relationship.

We have Select Home Warranty for several years now. They are courteous and very helpful. They are coming through with what they promise me. I purchased the platinum plan which covers electrical, plumbing, garbage disposal, washer, dryer, water, heater and all that kind of stuffs. I can say they are a very reliable, they will service you no matter what day or time of the year. Select Home Warranty team has been good and I am so pleased with them.

Last weekend is the birthday of my first born so I've been busy cooking meals for the whole family. Anything that I need to throw out is goes straight to the garbage disposal. When I tried to switch it on, it wouldn't come on so I gave SHW a ring to have it fix, which they did just before the celebration starts. What I really like about them is the contractors are very prompt and reliable so I let them have a piece of my son's cake on their way home. Select Home Warranty treats its customer as a family not like any other warranty company.

Select Home Warranty was the warranty that was offered to us when we bought our house five years ago. We didn't look for other providers because it was provided by the realtor. I have had dealt with them so many times now, I lost count. Their reps have been courteous and professional each time. I am satisfied with their repairs. They've been great so far. I don’t think I would have to change service provider, I will be renewing it this April.

If you are a very organize person like me. Like if you have a compulsive disorder of things getting done, you won’t have trouble dealing with Select. They offer you their time and effort just to meet your availability if you are a busy person. The process of using your own technician is very convenient and easy as well. You can have somebody come out and have them look at the issue without worrying about on losing your precious time.

Select Home Warranty is a great company. I have the Platinum Package with them which costs $45 a month. Work orders or claims were handled in a timely manner. Just last month, I made 6 claims and 5 of them had been approved. Can you just imagine how much savings I was able to save because I have a great home warranty company. Thanks to them, I don’t have to worry too much about repair costs.

Frustration is one word I am feeling right now. I signed on line to get info, within few minutes agent calls and he was so pushy, wanted me to sign NOW, I don’t even have contract on my house sell, but he promised, contract doesn’t start until closing and also offered me 2 extra month. I don’t like being pushed and sign without seeing full picture, so I went on line and signed, they take your money right away and promise to send contract within 24-48 hours...NOTHING, I kept calling agent, no response...than EVERYONE NOTE, if you want to talk to a person, click new policy, than they will TALK, finally I got my contract with policy number and I was shocked, it starts from 30 days after I...
