Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

This company is fill of cheaters. I had purchased Platinum service, but they had charged me $325 to replace a faucet. Second case again they kept me waiting for 20 days to get an engineer visited and finally he came to tell me that this service is not being covered in Warranty and advised to get complete unit replaced at my own cost.

I called SHW last month to have someone check my HVAC. I was a bit in a hurry as I need someone fix the AC problems if not within the day, the next day. When I called I told the representative that I will be on a business trip in two days time and will be out for a couple of weeks and I just can't leave my family at home without a working AC. During the call, I was advised that it may take 48 hours to get someone in my house, but then the next morning, my wife received a call from Benj, a contractor asking if he can now visit and check the AC issue. The language barrier is a real pain but after 30 minutes of back and forth talk you finally get through and the process gets started. Had same problem the other home warranty company but their cost monthly cost was about double of SH.W

Typical home warranty company experience - high pressure sales when I called for a price quote, difficulty communicating with call center employees due to language barriers and most claims denied due to exclusions. I was hoping for better but not surprised.

The enrollment process is about as easy as you can make it. The Customer Service so far was very nice and helpful. I've not had any calls or claims yet, but I'm looking forward to that same level of support.

Do not waste your money on the pool coverage because it covers NOTHING, and had a rude rep on the phone as I ask to have it explain (Mary#1177) got mad and started talking over me and yelling. I am so disappointed I have paid for the year but will not be returning to this company! This Whole Company is a RIP OFF! they don`t cover anything, called for an outside hose nozzle leak DON`T COVER! called for a toilet, not flushing DON`T COVER! I called for inground Swimming Pool (which I was charged extra to cover) losing water DON`T COVER!
