Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Worst customer experience of my life. They have 24/7 support, but all customer support people read from a script and do not deviate regardless of what your issue is. Also, if you do have a problem that the the customer support person can't help with or that you're not satisfied with, good luck talking to a supervisor. I was promised multiple times that a supervisor would call me, but one never did. My biggest frustration was for a dishwasher repair. My assigned technician went missing after I had already paid him a down payment, and all Select Home could do was call the same number that had been disconnected and also not receive an answer. I called Select Home Warranty with a plumbing issue - a sewage drip into my basement from the upstairs bathroom. They said to allow 48 hours. After 3 days, I called back and they said it wasn't logged correctly, so they took my information again and said I had to wait the 48 hours again. After another 2 days, I hadn't received a notice of a contractor and called again. This time I was told they had no contractors because they were all backed up and if I could find one to go ahead and book them but they needed to call from the house with the estimate in order to get authorization. i would not sign up with select home warranty. they don't cover you for the first 30 days and then when they do cover you they won't have anyone to do the job. and they tell you " you need to higher you own contractor and send us the bill" but there contract says in network only" so you know they not gonna reimburse for the job and then they turn around and charge another 75.00 to cancel because the break the contract by not sending anyone but they keep giving the same answer we don't have anyone to send right now there all busy but you can higher your own contractor

I paid for a full five years, and have had over 10 claims in the past 2 years denied for BS reasons, and or they just never responded. THIS IS A SCAM.... useless, typical insurance company crap. filed a claim, nearest tech was an hour away, hiring the cheapest they can I guess. I live by a two fairly decent size towns, one 7 minutes away and the other 20 minutes Their "available tech" was not available for 5 days. Re-imbursement was bottom basement as little as the wanted to pay out. Despite a cap of $500.00 repair they opted for depreciating my appliance to the tune of $175.00 Don't hire them.

I am very disappointed. My built-in microwave needs replacing and they offered me $175 towards repairing some thing that was not repairable or purchasing a new one? Also, they said they would not cover the installation of a new one? I feel I was very misled when I purchased from this company. In addition, the gentleman who came out to begin with said he was not there to fix my microwave, he was just there to diagnose what the problem was. It is a waste of my time to take off work for someone to “diagnose“ my problem, and then possibly schedule them to come back to repair it. I am not getting good. Filed a claim and someone came out to look at my microwave. It was determined that the unit needs to be replaced and was told someone will reach out to me within 48 hours. I have called them back every 48 hours for the past 2 weeks now and still nothing.

FRAUDS! We paid our policy premium in February, it is now May and they have still not activated our policy and will not issue a refund. The customer service representative the policy was purchased through says it is out of her hands and refuses to help. The billing department and any type of supervisor is IMPOSSIBLE to reach and always promise a call back yet we never receive one. We are now out $600 for our policy that they didn’t honor + $4,000 for our air conditioner that went out. We are in the process of hiring an attorney. BEWARE!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Despite speaking with multiple SelectHomeWarranty representatives, including Jane, Faith, John, Paul, Tracy, Jay, etc., we were informed that SelectHomeWarranty would not cover the claim based on the existing policy. However, we are not satisfied due to the following reasons: 1. Having problem with heat pump system, paid $420.00 for one year membership, sales person gave me extra year free. Two technicians came by at different dates neither wanted to go into the attic. Paid $75.00 to first company, he didn't have a ladder. Second didn't have the time. Total paid $495.00. Being a dissatisfied customer I canceled the contract. I received a check for $73.09, I asked why so little. Beware of cancel policy fee.
