Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Dispatch at first said a service technician was not available to repair my refrigerator. I was given instructions for finding my own technician and submitting the proper paperwork to get reimbursed. Agent was very nice and dealt with the local technician professionally making the whole situation bearable.

Opened a claim for the AC repair and the issue is still not resolved after 15 days. Technician provided the dignostic 3 days after I opened my claim and from that day, I have been calling them several times every day to check the status and follow up. I escalated the issue many times and was promised that the issue will fixed in 24 hours. It seems that the call center has no connection to the resolution team and can only provide only the status logged in their system and cannot provide a commitment or timeline. They wil neither allow you to cancel the contract nor resolve the issue in a timely manner. Overall, very bad customer service.

I purchased an executive VIP membership starting Jun 2019 and ending Jul 2025. It was very tempting offers, 1 year free and $45 service call fee, and at a reasonable price. BUT it's useless. Nothing covered. And you could also pay extra service fee to the engineer who comes to your home. They would dig out all the words in the policy to deny the claim what you submit. Do not purchase long term of service contract, they would charge extra cancelation fee and refund you with non-discounted price.

Select Home Warranty is a totally price trap! I need a home warranty for my rented house in April and spent $2000 for their premium service (Their sales said this is 5+1 years special promotion and a great deal for me). Unfortunately my AC stopped working last Friday. And I’m surprised that first they asked me to wait 3 days (90 degree in Delaware) before they approve my claim! Second, they asked for previous 3 years maintenance record which I don’t have obviously so they only approved 60% of the estimate repair cost. Third, later i received the actual cost is $1275 vs the estimate $950. And they refused to adjust the reimbursement! Even worse, for the initial approved $650 agreed by one... Read More

There is NOTHING Good I can say About Select Home Warranty. After multiple calls and being put off with there standard “you will hear in 24 hrs”, turned into 9 days and 216 hrs with no help or resolutionI don’t know how much longer this could drag on but it is clear they intend to do nothing. Feel like such a fool to think that I could be fooled and tricked into spending money for absolutely nothing. I have a service coming out to fix the coil in a water heater. I see on their site They state they are 5 stars. But there is nowhere to leave my review. There is no true. No way there is any true in that.

Do not buy your home warranty with this insurance. They will never fix your problems in fact they will destroy your property. I have been waiting for them to fix my AC for 2 weeks and they have not done it, in fact the company thy sent to fix it left the AC unplugged and told me it wasn’t working. Luckily, my neighbor works with AC and he was nice enough to help me fix it. Of course I had to pay again. I have spent hours in the phone for nothing, this people are a nightmare. Save your money and DO NOT BUY THE INSURANCE.

This warranty company promises they will get a service contractor in touch with you to schedule an appointment within 72 hours. On both my occasions, the people/contractor assigned did not call me in the time span. When I contacted the first one on my own, they said they never planned on scheduling with me because they don't service my area. The second situation, the service contractor name and number were wrong or non-existent. I tried to find the company online, tried to call the disconnected number several times to no avail. We called to have our microwave fixed. Select Home warranty decided to settle the claim by offering a $95.00 check towards the purchase of a new one. We called back and spoke to 2 representatives including a supervisor to help us with our claim. All we wanted was to have the microwave fixed. but they said their decision was final, a cash payment of $95 toward a new. We countered that a new one usually costs $180-$300 plus we still have to pay for installation. They said the decision is final... no repair just a $95 because they determined that was the value of our depreciated microwave...as if we can buy a depreciated microwave to replace what we have now. Worst home warranty company that will not only cost you over $530 but cost you an immense amount of time and aggravation. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I have had several home warranties over the course of owning many properties. This company is by far the absolute worst for a number of reasons! 1. Their call center is based out of the United States, so all of their agents read from a script and can not critical think at all. 2. They will deny claims with no reasoning other than "this is excluded from your policy" stating that the cause of the issue was something that is excluded when their "cause" was not the "cause" and the issue had nothing to do with the reasoning they are giving....
