Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I made a claim on my over the oven microwave. I understand, now, the importance of knowing the age of my appliances. They will be giving me $95 to towards a new over the oven microwave. This explains why I did not have to give any information about my current appliances.

This is the worst company ever I had for appliances home warranty. I have them for 2 years and I called them 3 times: one for my bathroom faucet, two for my stove, three for my cloth washer. BUT they never fix anything, and they told me that my appliances it is too old to be fixed. Every time I make countless calls and explain the situation, but they are supper slow, do not understand, do not help at all. They always find a way to reject your claim or assign bad technician who do not know what they are doing. It is my mistake because I bought 5 years policy and paid $1650. This is the worst company I dealt with all my life. They convinced me to by Executive VIP membership and for multiple years. I did. I had my HVAC system failed. 20 days after the date I submit the claim, my HVAC was not repaired but what was worst was that except the first correspondence there were no other correspondence about the status of my claim. I ended up calling almost every other day to get a status since no response and since I was told to wait for 24 to 48 hours for decision. This has been the worst experience I have ever had trying to cancel a policy. First of all, they let me sit for 3 days in over 100 degree weather before telling me they couldn’t find a technician and I had to get my own. Fine. After reading the small print, I realized their policy would not cover what was wrong with my AC (which is fine, every company has their restrictions, etc.) but since I had to just fork out $8k for a new AC Unit, I wanted my money back that I JUST paid for this policy - over $1200 for 3 years.
