ServicePlus offers two types of plans: Gold and Platinum.

Both of these have a series of optional add-ons, such as pools, spas, central vacuum, limited roof leaks, and septic systems, to name a few. Their pre-packaged plans can therefore be expanded to suit every homeowner's needs.

No home inspection is required to purchase a policy. Appliance and system coverage is guaranteed regardless of age, make, or model. However, maintenance records are required for service and the company has a pre-existing condition policy which is unusual in the industry and may limit coverage.

For a single-family home in a small midwestern city, ServicePlus' Gold Plan premium is $569. The company's Platinum plan for the same home runs $649. An annual contract is required for both plans and premiums must be paid on an annual basis.

ServicePlus does not require a home inspection. Coverage starts 30 days after you sign your contract. The company has a 30-day cancellation policy in place.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel this Agreement within the first thirty (30) days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees, less any service costs incurred by us.

If this Agreement is canceled after thirty (30) days, you shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by us.

If we have provided services and the amount of the service costs incurred by us is greater than the contract fees paid, then no refund will be due to you.

This company just changed their name. They’re Total Home Protection. Long hold times for customer service, false information given regarding technicians. Don’t waste your time or money.

My water line to the ice maker broke and that is one part they will not cover. I emailed them last week and asked what good is the policy if they don't cover a simple fix. I still haven't received an email from them. I am going to cancel my policy.

A sorry company. They are in the business of collecting premiums and disregarding coustomer care. If a zero rateing was available that is what I would give them.

WARNING! DO NOT SIGN UP with this company. They are not good business people, they deny claims and don't send the repair check when they say they will. I signed up for 3 years last March, and now they want me to pay more. They still owe me money which they said they would send last September from when my refrigerator needed repairs. You would be better off keeping your money and putting it into a savings account for repairs. If I could give negative stars, I would.

TOTAL HOME PROTECTION must have closed that business and changed the "doing business as" Service Plus Home Warranty. They had to do this because of the way they treat customers. The name might change again before I post this review for all I know. They can run all they want, but its not to hard to figure out. The salesperson who signed me up did a fantastic job. Then I had to use the service and everything went down the tubes. They don't have technicians that want to go out for 45 - 75 bucks. So you will be forced to go search for your own tech, try telling the pool company you are working with Total Home Protection and they will hang up on you because pretty much all customers and also... I xan not even give a half of a star. I have been waiting 7 months for a check to fix my washer and 5 months to get a new refrigerator. I have called many times and feel like the company has no empathy or heart for their customers. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!!!!
