Depending on the device you select, plan upgrades are available to add such features as access to registered nurses and doctors, family alerts, and the ability to call a Lyft ride from your device.

Notified about a recall on a device just purchased. Spoke to an agent and they stopped the service immediately, leaving my daughter with no service and / or other immediate service options provided. Made a request, not turn off the service until I could get a replacement. They refused. Would not recommend this service in any way. Has been handled in a very non-professional manner. I would think that this could leave GreatCall exposed to legal action if anyone is injured in the time that it takes for replacement services to be provided for their current customers. MK Michigan

I live alone and I have used this service for over six years. The representatives are very professional and prompt when getting an alert. I can use this in my car, when I am walking around my neighborhood or working around my home, inside or out. If anyone is hesitant, please let me assure you that this service is affordable and completely reliable.

I have been a Great Call customer for several years. I have only had to press the button for help once, but they responded immediately, correctly assessed my health issue and, I'm told by my doctor, Great Call's prompt and professional response saved my life. The fact that I can take them with me where ever I go is extremely comforting to me and my family. Thank you Great Call for your incredible service! Doug V. Cape Cod

I used a Great Call Lively for 23 days (returned it within 30 days for refund) because the battery did not hold a charge. Customer Service people said it needed to be on the charger overnight. That's too long and unreasonable for needs at night (stumbling to reach bathroom etc.) On 4 or 5 of those 23 days, it did not hold a charge until early evening 6 pm even though had been charged 8-9 hours overnight. My new lively mobile device battery would not last a full day and I was walking around without protection during the evening hours. I always charge it from 10pm until 5:45 am while I sleep. I called the company and they replaced it and the charger. Now the new one has failed twice since 12-8-18. I notice that the flashing green charging light stops flashing after about two hours. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Dave R. Arlington, Va.

when fully charged, unit doesn't remain charged for long enough. I can wear it at the house, but if I go out at night, it dies before I am ready to return home. the charge doesn't last long enough for an active persons average day.

We have the Great Call device to be less than an asset. Nightly charging is recommended (re: required) which means the unit must be removed, placed in the charger, taken back out and replaced on the patient daily. One more thing to add to the list. Also, the unit seems to recognize one location, but when the patient visits friends the location is still shown as, "home". We will be looking for a cellular based system.

I got my first Splash 5 years ago. Worked fine until last year when it stopped holding a charge. Got a Lively and so far it's fine. I like the Lively better than the Splash because the design is better. It is smaller and the button is larger. Makes me feel safer because the button flashes so I know it's working!
