Don't waste your time utilizing their services. Save your money in an account and pay for your pets bills as they arise. The managers are never available to address issues. The customer service representatives are not knowledgeable. To top it off the customer service is trash. Take your money some where else. Each customer has a different experience but if you don't want any surprises when you try to get reimbursed choose another company.

Poor service. I’ve been waiting 2 months for a claim. The first time waited a month for them to tell me on the 30th day they need more information. Then told me the clock starts ticking again, could take 30 more days. This is effing ridiculous. Run, don’t get insurance for. Them.

This was the first time I had to file a claim with the insurance and one of their "selling point" were claims are processed within usually 3-5 days and multiple sites say 3-5 days. I contacted them to find out how much longer my claim, after 6 days, and I was informed, it has on been 6 days and the process can take up to 10 days. If the process can take up to 10 days, then they should be stating that instead of misleading people to believe its on 3-5 days.

I've been with Best's Best since November 28th of 2018. I switched from Healthy Paws because of the wellness and many other reasons, especially claims. I had to begin insurance on my 3 1/2-year-old Ragdoll cat and a 7-week-old kitten. They have been nothing short of exemplary. I submitted a claim and had the letter to tell me the deductible (100.00) was covered now, and they also sent a check for the balance. I got smart, duh, and did a direct deposit with them for the kitten's neutering and microchipping: cost was 220.00 and the insurance paid 190.00 within 3 days into my checking account. I was a Pets Best customer for 7 months. Unfortunately, my 2-year-old rescue passed away unexpectedly for unknown reasons on January 2nd, 2019. The customer Service given during this horrible period of our lives was EXCELLENT! The claims were handled quickly and accurately. The compassion and professionalism shown by the employees was OUTSTANDING. They even sent a condolence card and credited me for the unused portion of the premium paid without me even having to ask. These folks have a customer for life.

Thank you for being a valued Pets Best customer.
I have never had a claim approved by Pet's Best. After a recent trip to the emergency vet (my dog was lethargic, throwing up, groaning in pain, and peeing blood), Pet's Best denied my claim. Be careful before signing up with them, it does not appear they cover much at all. Spend a little extra and go with a company that actually covers a full range of injuries and illnesses.

Hi Siobhan, you enrolled Philly in an accident only policy designed to cover only accidents. However, the claim filed was not due to an accident but rather an illness. We would be happy to go over options on more comprehensive coverage for your pet if you would like to protect her from the unexpected, future injury and illness. We are sorry to see you go and wish you the best.
I thought I was getting a good deal. In signed up for the Best Wellness as well, and found out they only gave me the Essental. Upgrade to Best went smoothly. However, then when I put in a claim for office visit, shots and wellness exam, they denied my claim saying I cancelled my policy and it was an undiagnosed illness. My cat wasn't even sick. She went in for her anual checkup. Had dirty ears they cleaned and medicated. I planned on getting her teeth cleaned which is why I went with the Best, but I guess I'll cancel that appointment too until I find better insurance. They are quick to respond when you are giving them money, but ignore you when you contact them THREE times to appeal... Read More

I've had PetsBest for years. My Dog got sick in March and spent time in the ICU. I submitted a claim in March, they closed it with no explaination. I resubmited in June, closed with no explanation. Submitted again in August, closed with no explaination. Submitted again in Suptemeber, was denied because it was outside the 1800 day submission period. These people border on crimnial.

Best Pets, I have been lied to by the staff. I signed up and paid with my credit card and was advised to take a plan with full coverage. I advised by the Best Pests (not a type O) rep that if I wanted to remove coverage on my plan later on that I could, however if I took less coverage and wanted add coverage to my plan layer on I could not. I listened to rep’s advise and was lied to. It does not make sense for me to pay $16 dollars a month for coverage that I will not use. Hi Thomas, we understand your concern. Our records show you self enrolled using our website and did not discuss coverage with an agent prior to enrolling. Wellness is an endorsement to the policy, and as such can only be added or removed once a year when the policy renews. Your regular policy for injury and illness can be downgraded at any time but will require a new policy should you choose to upgrade. We are sorry to see you go and wish you the best!
