Hand Split Shakes Upon entering a contract with this business I was told there is no third party and Alside makes their own siding and if I have any problems I have to just call them and" they will be right there to resolve any problems not like Harvey" !The product I signed for was not the correct one. The texture and the size of the corner pieces were not the right ones for the siding that I was provided it did not match it's texture and the hight and depth. After installations there are visible gaps with no seal bugs and moisture is still entering into the insulation. After numerous times of mine complains they blocked my number and stop responding. Very unprofessional! Alside... Read More

Brothers Aluminum Siding in Valley Stream, was used to install Alside Siding and 2 Bay windows 2 years ago. After one year the inside sill of the window started showing black in one corner. This problem has been looked at by Brothers and Alside reps numerous time. Have been waiting for a new sill - continuous calls to Alside - the latest they were supposed to come the week before last to install new sill. Still waiting. I am sorry I did not read the reviews before - I would not have used Alside for the windows. In contact with 2 people at Alside. As always very frustrating because no one want to step up - Brothers for selling goods by a lousy supplier and the supplier. Stay clear.

Alside as a company is garbage! They have multiple warranties and limitations between replacement and contrustrution. For example a defective product was installed in a new home in 2008. We are the second homeowners and even though the window has a 20 year warranty -they will not repair defective product due to us being the second homeowners. The seal is broken on the window, several others in the division have same style window and have same defect - some will get replaced because they are original owners, the other two of us will not because we are second homeowner. If product is good for 20 years - it should not matter!

Poor quality, poor service, nasty attitude! Nothing to say good about this company! My rating is so poor it can’t be rated because it is so low on the scale! Unhappy Buyer

I needed three replacement upper sash thermal window replacements under warranty. I put in a claim several weeks ago. The replacements arrived at my area's distribution center and I was called. An installer was recommended by the distrbution center who subsequenty called me and arranged to install the replacements at a very reasonable cost. I could not be happier.

I had their windows installed in 2016 and was told they would not yellow as my previous vinyl windows did. I noticed in 2017 or 2018 that one window was yellowing half way up. I called the installer who said I had to file online with the company that he could no longer handle warranty work. I finally filed the complaint in April 2019 and in less than 24 hours they have denied it as not a manufacturing defect.

I have had a terrible time trying to get one window replaced. It has been a 5 month process and I still do NOT have my window. Communication with customer service about the replacement is horrible. I have to initiate every communication and only got a response when I mentioned a lawyer. DO NOT USE ALSIDE!!

I have 14 Alside windows in my house that were installed about 20 years ago and the major problem with them is that all of the screws that hold the pivot bars in the bottom sash window have steel screws and from moisture have or are all rusting out and the pivot bars fall off. Should have used brass screws. Very hard to fix.

Fall of 2017 we had an old 4 unit wood frame casement window unit replaced with cottage style double hung units 3 wide. These had to be replaced in short order as the finish was marred and they were extremely hard to open. The second set installed the finish is ok, but they are still extremely hard to pull up to open and hard to pull the top section down to open. Ok if you are a weight lifter and used to tugging and moving hard to move objects. There is no way a child less than 15 is going to open these or an elderly person, but they look nice. I believe I am being generous giving these windows 1 1/2 stars.

Alside windows were installed in our home. Within 15 years of the build almost all of the windows have been replaced. We are the second owners of the home and apparently at the time of the build the windows were only warranted for the original owner. Alside, through our window dealer, replaced most of the defective windows, some more than once. More recently Alside provided replacement windows and would not install them leaving that up to us. We paid $1000 to install one picture window that failed within a year of installation and Alside is not standing behind their product. While we were impressed that Alside replaced a number of windows for us, we are very disappointed in the fact... Read More
