I agree 100% with the comment posted by v.m.cardona1085. CSA requires such an extent of uploaded documentation that they make it not even worth your time and effort to try to complete a claim. Furthermore, they do not answer their phones or reply to emails. You will be left on hold for so long that you hang up. They give the same tired excuse in their automated statement about experiencing a high volume of claims, etc, etc. I gave them a nasty review of Pissed Consumer and got another predictable response telling me to go to a specific email address where I could contact a claim supervisor for assistance. This is nothing more than a smokescreen for public consumption to make it appear as... Read More

If I could leave a zero star review I would. This company takes advantage of its clients by making them jump through hoops with providing ridiculous amounts of paperwork, and later claiming that the "proof" is not enough. My wife was put on a mandatory quarantine by her physician because we unexpectedly, but happily, found out she was pregnant. After her doctor provided her with a letter stating that she would be forced to quarantine and that she would be unable to travel. This "company" then responded that a licensed doctor's note would not be sufficient and that they would need her medical records. Confidential, private medical records. This is unacceptable and abhorrent. My... Read More

DO NOT BUY THEIR INSURANCE, HORRIBLE COMPANY, YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT SOO MANY PROOFS, HASSLE TO FILE A CLAIM, NOT WORTH THE MONEY ............ UNLESS YOU HAVE SOMETHING SERIOUS GOING ON LIKE ACCIDENTS ETC

I had to cancel my vacation because of covid. I paid CSA a substantial premium for travel insurance. I filed a claim and after being ignored by them for months they denied my claim. They said "Fear of contracting a disease is not a covered event and would not be considered."

My trip was cancelled during the initial COVID outbreak the owner and after receiving a full refund of all fees from VRBO and an email from VRBO instructing me to contact CSA Travel for a full refund of the insurance I purchased, I have emailed them 4 times since April. The first time they asked for proof of cancellation, which I sent. Nothing happened. the second time I emailed they asked for proof again, sent it again. No response. I have emailed twice more and included the copy of the instructions from VRBO and have heard nothing back. I wish there was some legal recourse. I can only imagine what people go through if they file an actual claim. Horrible company!

This company is a total rip off and this is why... first of all they have written in fine print everything so they don’t have to pay up! With the pandemic they state they will not pay out, but also say that they will pay out if you are quarantined. Oh, but if you are quarantined because of the pandemic you’re not covered! This is a prime example of double talk and this is a buyer be warned, that this company will find a way not to pay out on their policies. With that being said they requested that I give them full access to all my personal information including a pass on all HEPPA laws to access ALL my medical records even those that had nothing to do with my quarantine! Run from... Read More

Worst travel insurance company. I was forced to cancel my trip due to Covid-19 and the fact that U.S. tourists are currently banned from travel to EU. It took over a month to get a response to my claim (which required the submission of multiple documents ). They finally sent me an email denying my claim. They stated that anything related to Covid-19 including quarantine or gov't restrictions, cancellation of flights etc are conveniently NOT covered. Here is their statement verbatim: The policy states that any loss resulting from, “travel restrictions imposed for a certain area by governmental authority”, is excluded from any potential coverage. Additionally, the policy does not... Read More

I bought travel insurance for a trip to Hawaii, and the next day the governor of Hawaii instituted a 14-day quarantine due to COVID-19. I emailed CSA to get a refund since we were well within the 10-day "free look" period. This was in March. I have now emailed them three times in the past four months asking about my refund, and they have not replied at all. I am hoping to find a way to pursue legal action against them to get my money back, but in the meantime they will be getting horrible reviews on every business-rating platform I can find.

This so called INSURANCE company needs a class action law suit! So after contacting and having our groups claimed denied due to a national emergency, Covid 19, found out some interesting things. 1 This is nothing more than a money make scam company. 2 It's parent company is Expedia. 3 It's fine print on their contracts are, get this , 5 pages long and open ended to change with any possible emergency cancellation. 4 According to VIBO property owners, this company never ever pays out a claim. 5 the claim phone number is nothing more than a recording with promps that lead to a dead end hang-ups. There's no rating system low enough to rate them !!!!

I 100% agree with previous complaints!! DO NOT use this insurance. They state that COVID 19 was a "foreseeable event" event as of Jan. 29, 2020. We purchased our insurance on Jan. 20, 2020. My parents are 80 & 76 and my mom is on full-time oxygen. She in NO way should be traveling yet they will not honor our insurance because she had a pre-existing condition. However, it didn't become a "condition" that would hinder her from travel until COVID-19 was declared a WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC in March!!
