Lowe's offers appliance repair services through the manufacturer's warranty and through their appliance protection plan. If the problem is covered by either of these, the appliance will be repaired by a certified technician at no cost. However, if it is not covered, repairs may be offered by the technician at the customer's expense. The protection plan promises basic benefits, such as functional part and labor coverage, normal wear and tear repair, and reinstallation coverage, among others. Unfortunately, the plan's terms and conditions mention that they do not cover accidental damage or abuse, routine maintenance and consumables, and cosmetic damage, unless specified. Here at ConsumersAdvocate we recommend customers to read the terms and conditions thoroughly to inform themselves on Lowe's protection plan features and restrictions. Lowe's also offers a replacement plan, but is only eligible for products that retail for less than $300, after all discounts have been applied. This excludes major appliances and water heaters.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Lat Thursday morning I called for a Samsung refrigerator repair. It was scheduled for Saturday between 9 and 1. Someone called Friday to confirm at 4 and I called back 10 minutes later and it went to voicemail, but I left a message confirming the appointment. Saturday at 1 came and went. No call no show. Called Lowe’s again Saturday at 1 and was rescheduled for Tuesday between 9 and 1. It’s now 1 on Tuesday. No call, no show. I have Lowe’s on the phone and now the earliest appointment is Next Monday — 11 days after I called. This is ridiculous!! Buy from someone else.

Our washing machine went out right in the middle of a cycle. The washer door locked. We paid for a 5 year warranty on both washer and dryer (not cheap I might add) and are still within the warranty period. It took forever for them to answer the phone. When they did, they said that it would be a week before they could get anyone out to fix it. We replied that our clothing and masks for the COVID19 outbreak are in the washer and we cannot do without the masks. Also, the clothing in the washer will mold and smell before the tech gets here. 03-15-2020 Trying to get in contact with local Lowe's Store Manager in Northside Lafayette, La. and CORE WARRANTY REPAIR to document a formal complaint before I utilize the service of my ATTORNEY to file a LAWSUIT against the pathetic service I received from a technician named "Angel" (refused to give me his last name) who was sent by LOWE'S WARRANTY via CORE APPLIANCE company from Denham Springs, Louisiana. I have received abysmal service from Lowe's protection plan warranty services. We called Lowe's over five weeks ago about our refrigerator not working and have yet to have it resolved. Every time we call they are apologetic but offer no actual solutions to our problems. They have outsourced the service to Electrolux who have canceled our service appointment twice and are never able to reschedule less than a week out. We've been told we would receive phone calls following up, only to hear radio silence from them. Horrible, ineffective service. Don't buy from Lowes, I never will again.

Very Very Poor Abysmal in fact Maytag Bravos washing machine with 5 year protection plan Called Lowes warranty number - Repair contractor arrived a couple of days later Left in about 20 minutes telling me the washer needed a new transmission that would need to be approved by Lowes. Called Lowes two business days later - Lowes knew nothing about the approval ! - Noithing! A week later the same contractor technician finally showed up but not with new transmission - with other parts After two hours plus , he informed me that my washer needed a new transmission ! The same exact assessment two times in row Zero satisfaction from Lowes Would not recommend Lowes to anyone Two

TERRIBLE. Extremely frustrating experience with Lowe's Protection Plan. We purchased a 5 year for major appliance plan at $125. The initial call to the 888-77-LOWES number was pleasant, they promptly scheduled a technician. However, the technician came, assessed the issue, left us a carbon copy log of his notes, and then never returned or followed up with a call. I called the technicians 2 weeks later with a vague "we're not sure if the part is covered, we'll get back to you." Customer Complaint to Lowe’s Customer Service Department and Magtag On April 27, 2017, we purchased a Magtag washing machine, model number MVWB835DW, serial # CONFIRM-C71571435, Top-Load Washer. January 2020 this model began to malfunction abruptly stopping and going during the spin cycle making loud clanking noises, so common sense ordered us to stop operation of the machine. This service is horrible. I have tried 3 times to schedule repair after paying $300 for a service contract. Each time, they cancel the appointment and my entire day is wasted HOME FROM WORK and nobody shows. I will never buy from Lowes again. EVER!

I bought my entire home appliances (Samsung Fridge, Washer, Dryer and KitchenAid Microwave and Dishwasher) from Lowes couple of years back with extended warranty. My KitchenAid dishwasher broke down on Dec 25 and I called in on Dec 27. Since 27th two repairs companies have paid 4 visits to my house to fix but so far I keep hearing different stories with nothing getting fixed. I'm truly disappointed with the quality of service and support. All I am asking them is to fix the dish washer it is now 5 weeks without one and it is very frustrating.

I purchased this extended protection plan with the purchase of new washer. Had to call for service bc machine wasn't working properly, first time the company they sent came and fixed it quickly, however less than 2 weeks later it went out again but even worse, had another tech out on Dec. 16 just to tell me he had to order parts. I have called multiple times just to hear the service company is waiting on parts which the delivery date has changed several times. Here it's now mid Jan. and this is still not resolved, don't think I will purchase protection plan again just start a fund to pay for any repairs especially so I can choose the service company!
