The 9.6 out of 10 rating is a joke. This place is completely incompetent. I am astounded that anyone who works here remembers to breath from one moment to the next. They are complete morons and utterly unable to do the simplest tasks. No one in customer service has the first idea how to help you. They will LITERALLY Google answers to your questions and say "well, this is what Google is telling me." No training for customer service reps, constant attempts to get out of paying claims—I would say they should be ashamed of themselves, but they're far too stupid to understand what complete moon nuggets they are to even begin to feel such a complex emotion. I have rocks in my front yard that are... Read More

This company will nit pick your claims to death. Check out consumer affairs. Every time you use the plan, first they won't pay, then either your doctor or you will have to fight it, and maybe they will over turn it. Sometimes providers will be approved doctors and In the plan, then after they submit a document, (whereas I was approved for 10 visits) they canceled the dr out of thr plan and out of network and you end up owing more. absolute worst insurance practices I have ever seen.

Never have I had to deal with so many problems as I do now with United Health Care. Fought for months on bills that I should not be paying. At this point, I'll just pay and switch insurances because I am tired of fighting with them. Also! Their data base is not updated. I need to find a doctor but the people they provide you on the list dont take UHC because they do not want to deal with their BS. I called UHC and they provided me with a list of doctors. I called all of them, even the ones with bad reviews (that is how desperate I am to find a doctor) and none of them take UCH anymore. This company is BS. Save time and go with someone else. There is a reason not even doctors want... Read More

This is the worst ever insurance company I had to deal with. They bill people for all wrong reasons and that too after a long time and then they deny their own policies. Don't ever get this insurance.

Customer service representatives are not knowledgeable enough to provide answers or your system is inadequate in that they are unable to access information that would provide answers to questions about benefits. It took me 1 and a half hour to get an answer if my choice of therapist was in network or not. Your web page is slow and does not allow me to input NPI number to determine in- network providers without calling the number on my id card. The phone system stinks and the first two representatives were so concerned about the survey following our conversation that they let the call drop. Finally without incident the 3rd representative was able to answer question easily. Why is it the... Read More

I have United Health Care through my company that i pay for. There is a medicine that my child needs that when i finally got it approved via UHC, the copay for the medicine was classified as the top tier because of the fact i had to get special approval from UHC. So that medicine costs me $120 a month, after paying the deductible. Prior to the approval the cost of the medication was in the $300s, which had lead me to look at what the Drug Discount cards offer. I found that GoodRx charged $80 for that same medication. So I've had to stick with using a discount card, Even though I pay for UHC every month. What a disgrace! This was for the generic medicine dexmethylphenidate... Read More

A BS company. They refuse to pay what you are entitled to. Never deal with them, just go somewhere else.

D Don't give them your credit card because they will charge it and you get no insurance. And they keep charging you after they cancel you
