Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

They responded to my request right away but they couldn’t repair it. CHW decided to replace it but they didn’t give me enough money to replace it. I still had to put 250.00 towards my machine.

It was so refreshing to speak to someone I could understand. Even better this will be the same person to help me each and every time. Unlike the last company I was with, I had a hard time understanding, and every time I called about my AC they had NO answers for me. We went without AC in our home from August 3 till August26, with the exception of one room that I purchased a freestanding air unit that half way cooled one room. I could go on, it was a horrible month but we are working now and I chose to drop them and go with choice warranty.

Don't waste your money on this company . I was ripped off . My first claim the technician was an hour and a half away after 1 month I got so frustrated I bought a new dryer. Second claim it took 3 weeks the technician again 1 hour away came today to repair my refrigerator and had the wrong parts. Called to complain & Tani the manager said she would cancel my warranty but would only give me back $395 I paid over $1000.

Technician missed initial appointment and did not call. Could not communicate with him because his voicemail box was full. However, once arriving did diagnose problem and informed us he would come back as soon as it was approved. It is now 12:18 and have not heard from him. Called him and mailbox is still full. When he finally arrives, I am sure that he will do a good job with the installation. This claim was submitted on August 24th.

When I wanted to join the rep did not explain that you only get the free month with the yearly fee not month to month. I was upset with this since I had already taken the monthly fee but had I had a little more time to figure out how I could switch my money to take advantage of a free month. They need to make this clear before selling this to us especially since am a legal shield rep and share this with others.
