Choice Home Warranty is a New Jersey-based company founded in 2008 which offers services contracts. Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Each plan also offers optional coverage for septic systems, pools /spas, well pumps, sump pumps, central vacuuming systems, limited roof leaks, second refrigerators, and standalone freezers.

Johnny was very helpful in getting my account renewed. I really appreciate how understanding of my needs.
The technician was prompt, friendly, familiar with the appliance. His knowledge of the availability of the part needed was off and when he said "no problem" easy to fix ended up being a definite NO.
Overall fine with the vendor and technician. When I called the vendor and they transferred me to a claim agent, I received very clear information.
Jonathan was great. Polite, quick, and a great communicator. Was able to diagnose my problem quickly.
Filed claim on the second of the month for a air-conditioner not working. The service was not performed until the 16th of the month. 14 days without air-conditioning in 95 degree weather. I believe that was too long to wait for service. The service personal that came to fix the air-conditioner were excellent. Very caring and professional. Would use again.

Choice quickly scheduled the repair and provided timely notification and updates.
The plumber was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He arrived on schedule and quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem.

I highly recommend Choice Home Warranty. Their customer servicer is outstanding . The associate for Choice had an appointment scheduled within 3 minutes of my claim on a Friday Afternoon. The technician for the service company knew what he was doing, had the part on his truck and had my dryer repaired in less that 30 minutes. I could not ask for anything better. A courtious Choice associate and one that got the job done. Way to goChoice

Mixed experience overall: great customer service, good online design and user experience and communication. That said, the claim approval seems to be tied to total cost of repairs, I.e. for relatively low cost they are flexible. When it gets to replacement for the non-repairable equipment they take a much harder stance: my personal experience with “claims adjuster” or whatever her role is was “take it or leave it” the latter probably being a good case for the class action despite their promises and claims that they approve up to $3,000 a year for a given piece of equipment.
