Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

technician came on time as scheduled, called me ahead of arrival to advise me. Upon arrival he listened to my concern and took the appropriate actions. He was done in less than 1 hour and cleaned up.

Over the years I have had several different home warrenty programs on different houses. I have found Choice to be outstanding in a number of different areas. First they are extremely responsive. Second the quality of the service techs sent have been friendly, professional, and again, respsonive in a very timely manner. And lastly, they get the problems fixed. My current plan is the second one I have had with Choice. When we bought our new home, I specified as part of the purchase process that i only wanted Choice as my home warrenty provider.

Sam from Sams Super Service was pleasant, professuonal and efficient. He diagnosed the refrigerator issue as a bad fan, had one on hand in his truck and replaced it. Within 30 minutes he was in and out and the refrigerator was cooler than it had been in weeks. Appreciate the excellent work.

I've been trying to get my electrical panel replaced because it's faulty, but my electrician can't even update the diagnosis because Choice has locked the work order. So now I have to wait 30 days with a fire hazard in my house and I keep running around in circles between case managers and claims specialists and it's not getting anywhere

The staff representative I spoke with was very nice and helpful on my decision. He answered any questions I had and explained everything in detail. He offered me choices on my payment plan decision and I went with the best one for me. Was even offered a discount rate. I recommend Choice Home Warranty to everyone. They pretty much cover everything inside your home. Great deal!!!

Best separate technicians for plumbing as well as HVAC that have came out regarding home warranty claims have been wonderful technicians. My issue lies with Choice Home warranty. It took quite a while for both technicians to be able to deliver and receive information from Choice Home Warranty. I have experience difficulty using CHW's app as well as website. Some of the messaging regarding my claims on the website have not been clear and when I request clarification I get a repeat of the same message.
