Home Service Club’s base-level 12 month home warranties start with a minimum annual premium of $400.

Coverage is not dependent on a home inspection, and this price point is slightly on the higher side of the industry standard.
With that in mind, they do offer a 30 day pro-rated cancellation policy, minus a $45 dollar administration fee.

Cancellation Policy

The customer may cancel the HSC service agreement for any reason within the first thirty 30 days following the date of purchase and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred by HSC and an administrative fee of up to $45.

After 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45.

This contract may be canceled by HSC for nonpayment of contract fee, fraud or misrepresentation by the customer, by agreement between client and company, or if the customer threatens to harm or does harm the safety or well-being of HSC, their property, employees or contractors.

HSC may cancel the contract without reason at any time in the first 30 days following its effective date.

If HSC cancels the contract within the first 30 days, the customer will not be charged an administrative fee and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred.

If HSC cancels the contract after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45.

We all wanna save money. We can save money on repairs if we take care of our stuff. That’s really hard though. So the answer is HSC. They always come through for me. Got the refrigerator repaired instead of buying a new one. Just $65 for that repair!

The house had electricity out. Electrician arrived ASAP. He solved the issue, but he left a mess like that! Had to clean up that evening. Sent a feedback to HSC and they promised to sort it out

I purchased a 3 year warranty less than a year ago. A couple months later, my washing machine broke. They would not repair or replace it, just give me a 200 credit at Lowes toward a new one. Two months later, my master bathroom shower starts leaking. Took a week to get some one out, and then another week for them to deny the claim. "Corrosion" is not covered. It seems that nothing is covered. I cancelled on July 20th. They said I would have a check in 4 to 6 weeks. It is Sept 30th and they still have not issued a check. Oh, and my "scheduled" refund, if I ever get it, is less than 2/3rd of what I paid, even though I had the policy for around 6 months and they paid out nothing. The only... Read More

Do not buy from this company. Service is bad (need to call them many times for them to send people out, and once they come, they claimed that the AC issue was not covered as the issue was a re-occurrence of a previous issue. The 2nd time I called them was during the COVID 19, and they said they do not have anyone to send while I can call a repair man the same day to fix the issue. Therefore, I decided to cancel the policy. Now it had been 5 months that I still didn't have any refund.
