Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

The garage door would not open all morning. I contacted the contractor same day and setup an appointment through Select Home Warranty. Problem was resolved, good communication fast turn around time two days.

I am a customer of SHW for 4 or 5 year and happy that I signed up on an email promotion I received. My front loader and microwave had gone out on me when my sister was living with me. I just had to call them and in tops 1 day they brought a nice young man over who was handled my claim.

Select Home Warranty sent me a technician that was very helpful in applying his plumbing expertise and fixing my non functioning spa pool. 2 total weeks it for all the parts and labor to be complete. The company that installed the actual tub no longer was in my area and I am pretty glad they found someone who had the right experience to handle this job. I would have liked for it to be done sooner but I understand that this type of task is not the norm.

I have waited 3 weeks for a technician to come repair my stove and no one has come. They only have one contractor in Dayton OH. I call customer service and keep getting the run around that someone will call me in 24 hours. Worst warranty company I have ever had in all the time I owned a home.

I was freezing when my heater stopped pushing out hot are(only cold was coming). My contact with SHW was to my satisfaction. They had a technician call me in one day. He promised me a speedy repair in another day. He came that night and was able to temporarily get it working while her ordered some new parts. It took another day and he came back and completed the job and I am very happy with the service provided.

This is the worst home warranty ever!!! Do not use these people!!! They lie and rip you off! Put in a claim, have been getting the run around for weeks, finally someone comes out and then they want to charge you for everything! What's the point of having this warranty! The customer service people are nasty and have no clue what they are talking about... Read the fine print people! They cover NOTHING!!

SHW in service and knowledge is reliable. 24 hours from my initial call I received a follow up call with a technician name and phone number. I had to call the technician and setup an appointment for the next day. The plumbing issue was done very well and this is why I will renew this fall.

Great reps on the fast and service was professional. The AC was repaired by Terminal Heating and Cooling and they did a real good job. We were told many tips on maintenance and all our questions were satisfied when we asked.

Overall my past few experience with SHW and plumbing has been positive and I could recommend them. The automated phone system was easy to setup appointments with and I did receive good response times for 4-6 hours. The plumber that came I have had do 3 claims. He diagnosis things pretty quick. It took him 10 minutes to empty out the bathroom trap. Also winds caused vent issues. He told me how to drain it myself and showed me. Great serviceman.

Excellent experience with the last service call. The contractor gave me a call in a day after making my call to the SHW number. The appointment was on time and he was professional. He fixed the problem and all the details of the diagnosis were explained to me. He wan't completely done though and continued to check other connectors to ensure future function saving me time in the future of worries.
