Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

The problem of plumbing stoppage can be troublesome if not resolved at the earliest. The moment I sensed flow problems in the plumbing lines, I called Select claims. They agreed to look into the issue and sent the plumber to investigate on the next day. The plumber removed an air lock and then changed some fittings and the flow was back to normal. Thanks Select for the problem resolution before the things went out of hand.

I had to call the Select claims to set right the Central vacuum as it was not generating the desired negative pressure. The technician came on the third day and had to change a few seals in the pump to arrest the leak in the pressure. I have all the reason to be annoyed because of the delay in sending the technician but nonetheless I am happy with the performance of Select in resolving the issue.

The plumbing system needs a bit of care every alternate year. I make it a point to call the home warranty team to have a look at the troublesome areas of plumbing, a few of which I identify. This year I got a separate line installed for each bathroom instead of the single one for both. The water pressure has increased and bathing is highly enjoyable. Thank you Select for the support.

After a discussion for about two hours with the Select sales person, most of my queries were answered. I chose the Platinum care plan and an annual contract for one year. As I was about to pay the sales person announced a bonanza and I got two months extra warranty coverage in the same price. Now that is what appealed to me the most. Thanks Select for that lucrative introductory offer.

The refrigerator tripped and then refused to start. The Select support was called for and the expert discovered a serious issue with the compressor. He finally declared the compressor beyond repair and recommended a replacement. The Select home warranty was quick to respond and sent in the replacement compressor in two days' time. I had to pay for the gas top up and technician fees only. This is when I realised the real benefits of the Select home warranty annual contract. Just to mention for record, my refrigerator is working absolutely fine.

It was a peak summer month and our five year old AC was struggling to keep the bedroom cool. We called the claims department and informed the status. They sent the technician on the 2nd day to investigate and set right the cooling. This time the problem was in the condenser which seemed to be beyond repair and the technician recommended the condenser replacement. The approval came in the form of a cheque through courier. With the new condenser in place the AC is running fine and cooling better. Thank you Select.

Three properties and all running on annual contracts with the Select home warranty, is my plan for the current year renewals. I have been tired and sick of handling three different home service companies in the past. Even after payment of full amounts to the concerned parties the results were not up to my expectations.
